Strength:
Solid build quality, good error tracking, upgradability, nice remote.
Weakness:
Noisy access door. Not Cheap$$$ Another fine product that uses the ever reliable Philips Pro drive. The old Krell transports (also excellent) used earlier versions of the same drive I believe. Operation is first rate and the remote is flexible and works well. There are plenty of connection options. The access door is noisy and makes changing media a bit slow. The build quality is excellent and the product has been reliable. I would not recommend upgrading to the 31.5 model until an SACD/DVD version is available. Similar Products Used: Krell MD-2 |

Strength:
Construction quality. Wonderful sound.
Weakness:
Noisy CD access door I have this wonderful masterpiece since 1992. It is a perfect example of what is possible to make when there is not limitation in the construction and in the performance's achievement. I hope Mark Levinson will provide a good upgrade step to allow my transport to read Super Audio CD. Similar Products Used: Marantz CD 12 |

Strength:
Absolutely calm picture of sound.
Weakness:
none This CD-Transport is the best I ever heard. I think it's even better than its follower the 31.5. I think the reason is that the base is a Philips transport tht was never maqnufactured. |
