For the past few days, I have tried to narrow down the superlatives that I feel apply to the ZCable LIVE interconnects and the ZCable PASSION speaker cables. I cannot! "Unsurpassed Presence", "Wonderfully Coherent", "Suberb Haromonic Structure" are only some -- you decide where to stop, as once again, I cannot. But let me say that those who wish for more and clearly better bass, may now cease praying for it -- by adding the ZCable LIVE interconnects and the ZCable PASSION speaker cables to their systems. Finally, if there is a better set of interconnects or speaker cables out there, it can come to me. With the ZCable in my system, I have no desire or need to look any further! ZCable is simply at the top of any scale that exists, period!

You can see from my ZCable PASSION speaker cable review that I have the B&W 801 Matrix Anniversary Series speakers, and you can get some idea of my system setup.
I stand in front of two different orchestras many hours a week, and sit in the middle of two others every few weeks. The observations that I make with regards to these cables, are with that musical reference.

I have been enjoying the ZCable LIVE interconnect in my system for some time now. I have re-inserted the JBS Labs Superconductors, back into my system for a critical comparison.

The most noticeable difference with the ZCable LIVE was the definition of the high pitches and in the detail presented. As with the ZCable PASSION speaker cables, their interconnects gave more separation of the instruments and definition of pitch and articulation. Orchestral bells, hi hats and cymbals have more presence and more natural decay; more resonance. I did not notice as significant difference in the midrange between the ZCable LIVE and the JBS Labs interconnect; but there was a definite improvement. There is better high-low balance with the ZCable LIVE.

The combination of the ZCable PASSION speaker cable and the LIVE interconnect has really opened up my system, giving more detail, cleaner articulation and increased resonance. The biggest improvement, to my ears, is the realistic sound of the instruments. Each individual instrument has more personality. You can guess why they call the interconnect “LIVE”.

Hi, a capable product. Got it hooked up to decent stereo speakers, and i just love the results. It gets 4 stars for a mix of value, and sound.

Strength:

Detail, Detail, Detail. Quick, tight bass. Smooth natural sound.

Weakness:

NONE

The Live Interconnects performed beyond what I could have ever imagined. No longer do I listen for hours triing to find a specific difference from one cable to another. The 1-meter Live cables gave me an instant awarness of all the detail in my sound that I've been missing out on. The bass was the first thing I noticed. Aside from the extreme increase, it was exceptionaly tight and profound.
The highs came to life. Z-Cable succeeded very well at makeing a cable with this much detail, while still making sure that it's not too bright. The closest words that I can use to describe these cables are...
Natural,.. True,.. Live,.. Detail,..
I would recomend these cables to any one that would want more detail, tighter bass, and the smoothest sound they've ever heard.
I now see how they came up with their name for this paricular cable, Z-Cable truely makes it sound like you are listening to your music... LIVE!

Strength:

Terrific Bass Response, Detail, and Soundstage.

Weakness:

None as far as I can tell. Possibly my speakers.

I had the pleasure of trying a pair of these interconnects after purchasing an amplifier from a gentlemen in Kansas. He spoke very highly of the product and told me he would be willing to lend them to me for a short period of time to see what I thought of them.

I opened the box and plugged them in for a couple of hours so they could warm up, and then started listening. What an experience, the music suddenly filled the entire room like it never had before. The detail was tremendous, and the bass response was much deeper and controlled then ever before. The soundstage seemed as though it grew to twice its original size. I started trying different types of music to see if they had any weakness, but they continued to thrill my ears with every new sound they delivered.

I am completely thrilled with these cables and wouldn't buy anything else. I don't think you can get a better sounding cable for double the price. Now I just have to figure out how to afford an 8-foot pair of the 3x4 Passion Speaker cables. Hopefully this review will help push someone over the top and they will take the time experience these cables. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
