Rather a bright and upfront sound. However, the Orbit III has good transparency and detail. And, it doesn't do anything to diminish that sense of "liveliness," speed, and excitement. Nor does it squash the size of instruments. This thing is not only affordable, it is cheap. It gets out of the way better than any other $40 interconnect I've tried. If you can afford the Atlantis interconnects, they are much better. But for the money, the Orbit III can't be beaten. Recommended.

I don't find it really easy to tell the difference between the 'sound' of different cables, but let me put it this way.
Listening to my cd player with AudioQuest Jade cables, things sound mighty fine. But when I switched to these cables, things sound slightly better.

These are the cables that made me realize that there is a difference between cables that I can actually hear. Of course, now I have to spend tons of money on even better cables, so I'm not sure this was neccesarily a good thing.....
