Strength:

Mid range performance, drastic soundstage improvements over traditional speaker cables

Weakness:

A bit unweildy: these cables aren't very flexible. They can be hard to position

I bought a set of these cables on a recommendation from a friend. I was skeptical that there would be a noticeable improvement in performance.

Was I ever wrong. After installing these cables, the soundstage from my main speakers opened up more than it ever had. Midrange frequencies were cleaner and more defined than they ever had been. Vocals, especially were much more pronounced and clear.

I'm still in the burn in period, after which bass performance is supposed to improve even more.

Overall, I have been very pleased with this purchase and would recommend these cables to anyone looking at MonsterCable.

Improved everything

WOW! Right out of the box, they made my old stuff sound very, very poor. I had almost sent my new receiver back, but decided to give better cables a try. What a huge difference they make(even to my unsophisticated ear). I also got the MITerminator 4 speaker cable, which are excellent as well. I can't wait to hear them after the burn in period. With the cheap interconnects, my subwoofer wouldn't even get a signal at low levels. These weren't too expensive either - $30.00 for 1M pr. at audioadvisor.com. I'm a total beginner at this, but I can't imagine better cables for the budget conscious. 5 stars with my system:

Onkyo TX DS575 receiver
Energy Take 5 / e:XL-S10 sub
Old Sony CD
Dish Network

Strength:

Close out price, amazing sound quality

Weakness:

Burn in period can be painful
Big fat white cables are a bit of an eye sore, but who cares

I purchased these cables after a friend recommended them. I doubted the importance of cables but trusted him enough to drop about 100 bucks on these MIT's. Wow. I had no idea that my monster cables were robbing me of so much sound. My sytem (NAD 317, Rotel RCD 971, NHT Super 2's) got louder, brighter and deeper for 100 bucks! I must admit the burn in is PAINFUL. At first everything actually sucked. The bottom was boomy and the highs actually hurt. I followed MIT's suggestion and ran a hot signal through the system (minus the speakers) for 48 hours. When I hooked the speakers back up I was amazed. The bass was awesome, nice and tight but BIG. The highs also found their place in the mix ringing very clear and not at all harsh. I didn't really know what sound stage was until I used these cables. I'm currently looking at MIT interconnects as well. Five Stars!!!

Strength:

Great bass!

Weakness:

None

I'm recommending highly the MIT T4's interconnects to be used as subwoofer cables. I replaced my Monster Sub cable with these and noticed drastic improvements in the quality of the sound. The bass was more defined and more natural. LFE effects became more natural and less boomy. A roar is now a roar with the MIT's, when it was more of a boom-boom-boom with Monster's.
