Strength:

Detail, clarity, overall resolution.

Weakness:

Bass while very precise and fast needs more depth.

Awesome levels of detail and clarity. Just lets the music through.

Strength:

But really I love the color, like the braid looks, unlimited sound.

Weakness:

Sounds like an Audiophile quality lamp cord, worth 12$

As you can see, I previously used very expensive cable on my ST70 series II Power Amp, with sonus faber concierto speakers. but decided to use the IXOS cause it sounds like a cheap monter cable and a lamp cord cable. My coliges and I has conducted a blind test with IXOS and other cables but couldn't hear a difference.I recomend it for casette sound system. for higher price range use the BAYGON 350, sound as good as the Sustagen Premium cable.

Strength:

even performance

Weakness:

may not let detailed speakers do their best

I've not heard this in my system but plenty of times in a friends, Marantz amp and Mission floorstanders (don't know which ones, but we all know what missions sound like :).

I've not heard this cable put a foot wrong in that system, and couldn't hear a difference a/b ing with the 606 cable (now discontinued, but 2-3 times the cost of 6003). With my speakers, Naim intros, even with the same Marantz amp there was not quite the sweetness I'm used to in the midrange with the 606. I would expect this to be more evident with a more detailed amp.

Ignore what one of the other reviewers says here about this cable not being screened, perhaps he's thinking of the interconnects, a loudspeaker cable does not need to be screened and none to my knowledge are. I can think of extreme circumstances where this might be needed, but it would wreak havok with the sound quality and current carrying capabilities.

Strength:

noise rejection

Weakness:

didn't really improve sound

i needed to wire up my system and rather than stick with the cheapo 16 ga. monster xp i was running to my mains, i decided to purchase the 13 ga. ixos gamma 6003 for my mains and center . i have two 8 ft. bi-wire runs (self-made) and one 8 ft. run to center. i can't really discern much of an audible difference between this cable and the xp i was using before it. perhaps the cable hasn't "broken in" though i personally don't believe in such non-sense (i'll find out though over time won't i?) however, i do find that the hiss that was very present at 3 on the volume dial has disappeared (it moved it's presence to 5). this is fine for me as i never turn it up past 2.5 for music and 4 for video. for $1.38 per foot, it does very well and i couldn't fathom spending over $2-$3 per foot on anything more. the rating i'm giving it is based more on the fact that it rejected extraneous hiss and it's the only audio related equipment i ever bought that my girlfriend actually liked (purple is her favorite color - women?!).

system includes:
sony str-db930
sony cdp-ce505 (upgrading to: sony dvp-c670d)
sony slv-m20hf
sony mds-ja20es
monster power hts-2500 (upgrade)
mirage frx-7 (mains)
mirage frx-c (center)
mirage frx-r (rears)
mirage frx-s8 (two: stereo subs)
acoustic research pro-series analog & digital cables

Strength:

NEUTRAL SOUNDING, COVERS ALL THE BASES...CRISP HIGHS TO WELL DEFINED, WEIGHTY BASS

Weakness:

UNSHIELDED

RECENTLY I WAS INTRODUCED TO THE IXOS BRAND AND I COULDNT BE HAPPIER. THE 6003 GAMMA CABLE IS TERRIFIC. THE PRICE IS MODERATE (2 - 3 DOLLARS/FT) AND THE SOUND IS GREAT. NOT TO SOUND LIKE A GRANDSTANDER, BUT THE IXOS LINE IS WAY TOO UNDEREXPOSED IN THE STATES...GREAT VALUE, GREAT PRODUCT. I AM ALSO USING 1014 AND 1002 GAMMA INTERCONNECTS...SAME GREAT STUFF...RECOMMENDED...

Strength:

Wonderful rich sound. Improved detail and clarity, richer, cleaner bass

Weakness:

none for the money

I purchased about 30 feet of this cable (prewired with banana clips and terminals) from Accessories 4 Less www.ac4l.com. I am running the cable into my AR310HO mains and Cs25Ho center channel in my home theater system. I had previously been using some monster cable speaker wire (14ga)and never believed that cable could make such a difference in overall sound. I am only running a cheap Pioneer 457 Receiver, but the difference in overall presence (bass, mid range and treble) was amazing. It sounds like my system has not only better response, detail, and clarity, but an increase in overall sound levels as well. I can't wait to get my new Denon 3802 receiver. I also picked up IXos RCA cables, and a silver series component video cable, and they are outstanding as well. For the price, I really don't think that you will get much better build construction or sound reproduction.

I tried the blind test recomended by Mr. Rene Rivo from the Philippines. I compared my Ixos Gamma 6003's against guage 12 standard lamp cord manufactured by the Congo Electric & Wiring Co.

The Congo wires were more transparent, fluid, detailed. Soundstage was multi-dimensional. Compared to this, the Ixos was congested, veiled and dark-sounding.

I knew I was suckered the minute I hooked it up. Its a complete RIPOFF! I pity those people who bought from those five rolls Mr. Rivo II has sold.

Can anyone advise how I can get my money back!!??

Specs: 2 x 2,6 mm2color: purple

High-tech cable, with GAMMA GEOMETRY®.
Treble is certainly smooth and attractive, and the resolving ability of this cable is appropriate for most budget price systems.
This is a very wide-open-sounding wire and good value cable !
