Strength:

Near reference quality 3D soundtsage, excellent all around
performance

First let me stress do not judge this cable till you have at
least 100-200 hrs play, you will not hear true sound! Cable really blossoms after that, also the best kept secret in
audio is you can purchase 0.5m Pro-Silway II for only $250
instead of $399 for 1m, use 0.5m for CD to pre-amp. The
3D soundstage created is massive, this has to close to
SOTA and will compete with cables costing $1000+, once you
hear this you are hooked and can't ever go back. After proper break-in cable is natural sounding, good extension
in bass, vocals are smooth and fluid. Cymbals and brass
shimmer with natural sustained decay, as only good cables can reveal. To be honest SilverAudio Hyacinth has about 95%
of Pro-Silway II performance at only $275 for 1m, but I cannot be without this cable now. My system:

Musical Fidelity X-Ray CDP
0.5m HT ProSilway II
MF X-P100 preamp
0.5m HT Truthlink
MF X-AS100 x 2 (bi-amped)
8ft AP Oval 9 double runs (bi-wired)
PSB Silver-i speakers

PowerSnakes Sidewinder & HT Pro-AC 11 power cords

Strength:

Build quality, Impressive overall performance

Weakness:

none so far

Do youreslf a favor and test this interconnect out. It provides great performance for its price. You could not get better overall performance in my mind - the law of diminishing returns sets in when paying any more than this for a interconnect. I noted a significantly improved overall sound in my system. The background was much quieter (incredible), nice balance to sound, with clear but not overemphasized highs. The bass was as good as with previous interconnects (deep, robust, tight, and dynamic soundind). It matches well with my Parasound AVC-2500, Bryton 4B ST, and my PSB Stratus Gold i speakers. I could not be happier, as I found this pair of 1m with RCAs for $290.00. Harmonic Technology has produced a winner with this interconnect.

Strength:

warmth, musicality, details.

Weakness:

Bass focus

Besides updating my previous review, I'm correcting the price I quoted due to typo.

My earlier comments were based on approx. 60 hours of usage. Now, about 50 hours more later, I find the wire to have opened up in the upper frequency region. The wire remains as warm and detailed. Since I now also have the Truth-Link (1.5 meters, 2-3 year ago production period), I compared my wires more. With the Truth-Link in direct comparison to the Pro Silway II, the Truth-Link wins out on listenability. Many say wires are system dependent. I paid $400 for the Silway II, it then should sound better, as it is supposed to be of higher caliber. Yet in my system, the TL wire comes across more pleasant to the ear. MAINLY, the Silway II lacks focus in the bass area. The Truth-Link wire gives much better bass presentations. The Truth-Link I have now wins even over the BEL P-1. The P-1, while very neutral, has less suppleness in the lower frequency area. My "ears" I guess prefers darker sound, so they tell me I should like the Truth-Link better, though the P-1 is also an excellent wire. The Pro-Silway II loses out to the Truth-Link, IN MY SYSTEM, this I must qualify. My system consists of an Adcom GFP 750 preamp (also an oldie, Marantz 7 preamp, now, as I experiment with a tubed preamp stage), and a Rowland 112 Power Amp. I maintain the same rating for the Pro-Silway II wire.

Strength:

High freq detail, clarity, bass, good looking and very good locking RCA's

Weakness:

bloomy mid / vocal (female voice) for some unmatched system

first I really thankful for I got this cable for US$150 used but like new
Before I decide to buy HT Pro-Silway... I have tried several interconnect (you can see above) but none of the cable I've auditioned satisfying me, (except Marigo..it's too expensive to me but very good sound - better than HT I think), I've kept Cardas for a year, and I buy AQ lapis last 2 month ago...an old cable but still have beautiful sound (also I trade my BL-1, I don't like that cable)
My instalation before I buy this cable is:
from D/A to Audible Illusions Mod3 I using AQ lapis, and from AI mod3 to power Cary CAD 807 with Cardas Microtwin,
with this combination, the sound's very sweet, detailed, but when ProSilway MK-II arive, replacing Cardas ... HIgh freq detail increased and more open, fast and alive, bass more pronounced & tigher than before. I like it, Right now I combinate AQ lapis with Pro-Silway and it matched...what a good team..
but If I comparing AQ lapis with this cable...unfortunately... I better choosing my old AQ lapis,
it's more neutral and balanced from top to bottom.
My tips: don't ever trusting every review... but trusting your ear and asking your audiophile pal to have some sugestion / advice for goods you've choosen, try to borrow the product you like before you buy...
My advice for HT Pro-Silway... Highly Recomended...
Great Product Mr. Wang

Strength:

Transparent especially treble; lush and rich

Weakness:

Bass not quite so powerful, but good.

Yep, these are very good. They do everything reasonably well and some things spectacularly well. In comparing them to my reference AQ Diamonds, I find the HTs have more authority in the treble, and better imaging. Add to the list a bit firmer bass; but not however such deep bass extension (as was pointed out by the review at soundstage.com). Most spectacular is the soundstaging of the HTs. They made me feel that I was listening to a 'holograpic imager' similar to those Carver tuners that boasted this feature. The wonderful balance and musicality of the AQ Diamonds is hard to beat but the HTs are pretty close, pending the completion of break-in.
Susbtituting them for my XLO Type 1 between preamp and amp, while keeping the Diamonds into the preamp, gave better results. The XLO is known for excellent bass and dynamics but a rather shallow soundstage. There was improvement here, and a lusher midrange with the HTs and a sense of improved transparency overall. In all the arrangements I tried, the HTs remained quick and nimble, never giving a sense of lag like some of the "filter box" cables do. Let me be clear that the HTs are heads and tails above typical sub-$1000 cables (and you can get a 1/2 meter for only $250!). They should be auditioned alongside flagship products of other companies. The fact that they retail for much less than those flagship products is an additional bonus.

Strength:

Clean, pure, with balanced bass

Weakness:

none

I bought 1 metered Balanced Pro-Silways MK II with reversed output ends to go from my Sony XA7ES CD Player to an Audio Research LS-16 tubed Pre-amp, and then out from there with 2 metered Balanced Pro-Silways MK II to an Aragon 8008BB dual mono Amp. I reversed the ends from the Sony to the Audio Research by special order through Harmonic Technology because the Sony CD player had European style of Neg/Pos posts. I wanted nothing stopping the pure sound from CD player to the Amp. Then I have RCA Pro-Silway MK II from my Theta Casa Nova digital surround sound left/right main outputs to the by-pass through the Audio Research LS16. All the rest of my wires are Truth-Link except the VCR, radio, and TV, which are Precision-Link. My thinking was that from CD player to Pre-amp, digital Pre-amp to analog Pre-Amp, and analog Pre-Amp to Amp, would have the Silways MK II because these are the CORE of the system. The rest of the system would get the next in sound level, with the copper Truth-Links to save money and round off the High HZ's sound of the silver Silways. The TV, radio, and VCR I used the cheapest from Harmonic Technology, the Precision Links, because these types of stereo equipment don't have the best in sound quality to begin with. I believe using the Silway's as the CORE help my system flow with purity and balance. I am very pleased with Harmonic Techonlogy and plan to get rid of the last of the Monstrer cable I have. I have written to Harmonic Techonolgy by E-mail 5 or 6 times and always get anwsers, they are most kind. When I special ordered wires, I get fast results. I am SOLD, I hope you will too...

First of all I used only solid state amp- my Eagle amp, and in the homes of some dealer friend's amps Spectral, Mark Levinson, and Krell. I did not use any tube amp, my power conditioner are Ps audio, Monster Hts 2000, powercable Absolute Power Cable, speaker cable Nordost, Kimber, and Audio Analysis. Cd player Theta, Krell, and Mark Levinson. The speakers were used my Eminent Technology, friend's B$W Nautilus, and Revel.
My finding after 350 hours burning .5m rca interconnect is: Silver Audio Hyacinth is very quit or silent cable, it has neutral mirange, and good detail especially upper frequency, it has also pretty good sound stage and imaging, and ok depth. But as it is pure Silver cable, the harmonic of music is little bit bleach, music is not warm enough, ambiance or bloom is missing little bit. The system sounds hifi, rather than high-end. Upper frequency although detail, it is tinkly sounding. I tried quite a few silver cables(pure silver, home made silver, Alpha Core, Siltech) , but Hyacinth is less bright or grainy sounding than other silver wire. So, my point is if you are using neutral solid state amps, then it is better not to use Silver Audio Hyacinth to play music, but if you use tube amps which have inherent bloom than yes Silver Audio will be good choice, or if you have warm sounding solid state amps Plinius, Jeff Rowland, Aloia, Blue Circle than Silver Audio probably will be good match. After all it is system matching.

Now, Harmonic Technology Pro-SilkwayII has got great reviews from reporter of Stereophile's Michel Framer, Absolute Sound's Dan Sweeny, and others. So, I was intrigued and tried .5 meter rca, my finding is that as it has two pure copper strand and two pure silver strand, the HT sounds best of both world. It has good detail like silver cable, but without high frequency emphasis (not tinkly), nice neutral midrange, good ambiance or bloom, but not as much as Cardas or Jps. The best part it has real 3-dimensional sound with good depth. The only weakness is that HT has less silent or quietness between music than Silver Audio Hyacinth; probably HT is not braided design like Hyacinth. So, I am looking for cable which is like HT, but more silent or quite sounding, more midrange bloom and ambiance, and as much as detail as silver cable (my finding copper is not as detailed), but without its stated problem with solid state amp. Any Suggestions? Please no diy project!!!

Strength:

Excelent sound stage, and detail. mids and highs are very crisp and revealing. bass is also tight and controlled.

After reading so many positive reviews on this cable i could'nt help but try them myself. I called HT and and ordered a set of .5m XLR'S. They were on my porch the next day and like a kid with a new toy i ripped open the package and intsalled them into my system. A lot of the reviews that had been posted on the pro-silways mkii sugested a warm up period, but i could not wait. I must say these cables are excelent. The detail is superb, and before you know it the human senses are pulled into a 3 demenisional sound stage. I found these cable more honest and nutral than my previous sigma retros. There was definitley a big difference. Highly recomended.
