Strength:

Very netural sound to my System. Very Good Price. Dealer Support

Weakness:

None at this price level

My system is a Wadia 830 CD player, Proceed AVP and AMP 5, Martin Logan Quests, Aerius i's (Upgraded from PSB Stratus Gold i's) and a Velodyne HGS 12 sub.

After various journeys with many different cables and interconnect combinations I've reached my resting point with these gems. They open up the high end, give ample through put for low end authority and have improved the sound stage. All this for bargain basement prices. (The price wasn't a factor, but it always feels good to get a Great Deal!)

The cables are matched with the Air Matrix Balanced interconnects from DH Labs.

The construction of the cables by Jeff at Value Audio.com was first class. He worked closely with me to match the construction to the speaker's bi wiring terminals. Additionally he was willing to mail trial cables until I got the perfect product for my system. Jeff was a major factor in my ultimate satisfaction with these cables.

Jeff at ValueAudio@aol.com will give you competitive pricing and superior service. Plus, he is a "nice guy"! Hoky but true...

The cables get a 5 Star rating for Value because the cables alone are superior for the price and the service was spectacular.

They get 4 stars for overall because if you spend several thousand dollars there are cables that are better. The cost of any improvement over these cables just doesn't pass the price performance test!

One final note. They do take 1-2 weeks to break in. Be patient.

Strength:

Completely and I mean COMPLETELY revamps the sound of the system. Highs and mids blossom. Bass is tight and more pronounced.

Weakness:

NONE.

So, I purchased a great Rotel system - RX-975 receiver, RB-1080 power amp, RCD-961 CD player, and RLC-900 Power Line Conditioner. Speakers are B&W Nautilus 804s (in that FABULOUS Red Cherry). Interconnects are Transparent Link 200s.

I was using original Monster Cable and was displeased with the sound - EVERYTHING sounded thin and tinny. Ugh! As a musician, my ears were being offended on a regular basis and I had to do something ... fast. After doing some research, I decided on the DH Labs Silver Sonic Q-10 cable. I called Jeff at Value Audio and, I've GOT to tell you, he is DA MAN! BTW, don't ever let anyone tell you that wires don't matter. They do, as detailed below.

Jeff asked about my system and suggested the bi-wired Q-10s (10 ft. pair) with the Audioquest spades. He even called Rotel AND B&W to get exact measurements regarding the distances between the connections. Jeff kept me posted at all times about the order and suggested the Audioquest spades because they're more universal and the can be used with a variety of amps/speakers - this obviated the need to re-terminate the cable if I ever got other equipment having different measurements.

The cables arrived and were very easy to set up - Jeff even marked the tweeter/mid bi-wires with the word "high" to facilitate the set up. Nice touch. The cables are REALLY solid and very thick. Also, Jeff's terminations are tight and very well done. This is the kind of stuff that when you look at it, you say: "Ah, now THAT'S cable." When I fired up my system, I couldn't believe my ears. EVERYTHING opened up and the thin, tinny sound that had been there with the old Monster sh*t was gone - completely. The system as well as the Q-10s are brand new and have to burn in - but even at this nascent stage, everything sounds awesome. Jeff tells me the Q-10s will take about 100 hours to really burn in. I can't wait.

The Q-10s are absolutely great, especially at this price point. I had auditioned several other cables costing triple or quadruple the cost of the Q-10s and heard no discernable difference. Jeff and Value Audio are a first rate outfit and provide AMAZING customer service. Jeff really took the time to know my system before making recommendations. Bravo!

You just can't go wrong with this product or with Value Audio. Jeff has a customer for life and I intend to do lots more business with him as the need arises.

What are you waiting for? Call Jeff, and get the Q-10s so you can listen to your system explode with sonic wonderment.
