Bettercables is undoubtbly Audio's best kept secret today. The more I purchase from them the more I cant believe they are for real. I believe that cables both speaker and interconnects are as important as purchasing a fine componant and I have spent BIG BUCKS on both. What blows my mind is how such an innexpensive cable can sound better than ones costing 4 to 5 time more. I have long believed that cable manufacturers have spent a lot of money making the consumer believe you have to mortgage your house to get "the sound". Bettercables turns its nose up to that theory and proves that "the sound" can be obtained without contacting the bank.
Right out of the box this single run {previously owned shotgun} sounded better than anything I have ever owned. They also are hands down the best constructed I have owned. Using Vampire bannannas at this price point is simply not done. As far as the sound without getting like the lofty cable reviewers: They simply portray the music as it is intended to. There is zero coloration, the neutralist Ive ever heard and they have improved the imaging tremendiously. Just as a good cable should. The kick is they are the least expensive I have ever purchased. If you want to drastically improve your system dont buy a new componant, upgrade to Bettercables both speaker and interconnects, you will spend far less and gain tons more.

These look, feel, and sound like cables over twice the price.

Weakness:

HA! Good luck finding any weakness.

Very impressive looking cables. I ordered the banana to biwire banana set for my 3 front channels (along w/ other stuff). After a week of burn-in time, I let the system stretch it's legs a little. Incredible. I played cd's that I've heard dozens of times without picking up info that I'm now hearing. The bass was good already, but tightened up a lot more w/ these. The mids weren't affected as much, but clarity increase is noticeably good. The highs are extremely detailed w/o being brash or bright. Soundstage opened up more than I thought was possible. Will definitely purchase again from Bettercables.com . Couldn't be happier w/ my purchase.

Strength:

Great sound, good value for money

Weakness:

Cheap Banana connectors

Bought these a few months ago and am generally very pleased with them. I have these for both front speakers (Infinity IL60's) and centre channel (Infinity IL36). My receiver is the Denon 4800 plus a Denon 5200 power amp for the fronts. I use the Marantz cd63se with seperate DAC (Dac-in-the-box)and the Denon 3300 DVD Audio for both audio and video. The whole system produces excellent music and home theatre sound and as always it is difficult to say how much an individual component contributes to this. These speaker cables are without doubt a quality product, producing good, contolled, bass and highs. Vocals are also very strong. They don't lose any detail from any of the music recordings I have.
If you have good quality components, good cables make a big difference and these cables present an opportunity to experience mid to hi-end cable at a reasonable cost.
My centre speaker is placed 3ft above my receiver and I have found that the weight of the cable has bent the banana connections at the speaker causing the connections to be a bit temperamental. Otherwise, a highly recommended product.

Strength:

great cable

This is the first pair of good speaker cable I have used. I have paradigm studio 100s and they are powered by a parasound 2205a amp. I have never been really happy with my system. I just thought that for as much money as I had spend it should sound better. I bi-wiring and using cable that i bought at lowes. I really did not think that speaker cable would make a big difference. I decided to go ahead and buy some cables with my Gov. refund check. I was just about to move my entire system hoping it would make a differnce when my new cable arrived. I hooked it up and I was amazed. My speakers finally sounded like 1700 dollar speakers. The bass was much better. I have actually turned the bass enhancment off and I am still getting better bass. The vocals and instruments do not bleed together now. I wish I had spent 200 dollars for these speakers 6 months ago. They are great.

Strong build, clean gold ends, fine finish, strong shielding

Again, with Bettercables, you get a fine product, built well and FANTABULOUS customer support. Even before you purchase, call these fellows and talk about your setup, they offer great advise that can even save you a few bucks. I saved on not purchasing a toslink, for we seemed to agree that DAC is far superior - I know, the jury isn't out yet.

Unlike my Monsters on the mains, this Bettercable on my center speaker did indeed improve sound. Before, center was quite bright and locatable - now, it blends beautifully with the mains - don't know what changed, but I like it. Again, great value/quality. Mike

Weakness:

Quality

After less than a year of non-strenuous use, the spade-lug terminators came off the cables. The price may be a "bargain," but it was indicative of the quality control. . .

I haven't found any yet !!

I was happy with the Monster Cables that I had between my Adcom GFA-5500 and my Infinity Reference 6's. I was happy, that is, until I tried the "Better Cable" Speaker Cables.

My installation, while not ideal, is the best I can do given my room layout. I have to run my speaker cables throught the floor, across the basement and up on the other side of the 2 room combination.

This results in about a 60' run from power amp to speaker.

After installing my "Better Cable" speaker cables, it took about 10 seconds of listening to her a clear and definite improvement. The bass was tighter with no boominess.

The cables themselves and beautifully constructed, with the gold banana jacks terminated with clean precision.

I plan on purchasing a pair of Vandy's in the future and I'll be ordering another pair of "Better Cable" speaker cables to Bi-Wire them.

Strength:

Custom cable options, and great customer service and build quality.

Weakness:

I would have liked the cables to have metal covers over the banana plugs rather than plastic (minor weakness).

The Better Cables buying experience was an excellent one from beginning to end. The web site was informative and provided the capability to cost out different custom cable options. When I e-mailed a request for a quote for 3 sets of 4 meter speaker cables the response was courteous and accurate. When I phoned in my order, Brad asked me a few questions about my home theater system and identified a mismatch between the spade connectors I originally wanted to order and the posts for my Definitive Technology speakers. (They have spades sized to fit them now.) This saved me the hassle of sending back the cables for connectors that would fit. My custom order arrived earlier than promised and the build quality was excellent. The sound and build quality of these cables are equivalent to the more expensive NBS Dragon/Fly speaker cables that I have for my main stereo system.

I heard about Brad Marcus and Bettercables.com through an online review and I was hooked right away. The subwoofer cable I purchased was superior in quality to others I had seen and used. It performs great. My subwoofer is about 5 years old but I feel the cable brings out the best it has, deep and thunderous bass with music and DVD's. I recommend to everyone to buy these cables, and to purchase others Brad sells online at Bettercables.com. You won't be disappointed. The customer services is great, return policy unheard of (lifetime guarantee and 6-month return policy) and 2-day shipping only $9!

Do yourself a favor, spend money where it should be spent...on Quality Cables!
