I compared the Apogee (75 ohm S/PDIF 1 meter) to several $100 cables. Actually, I thought most of them, including the Apogee, sounded equally open and airy without being overly bright. But, what seperated the Apogee from the rest was that it retailed for about half. And, the pro dealers regularly sell this cable at about a 40% discount off of retail. A great sounding cable at a great price.
