Strength:

soundstage width, excellent build quality, very nice spade lugs, very easy to use

Weakness:

lacking top end transparency, pace rhythm and timing seem off to me with this cable.

Silver Oval in my systems has the most state of the art soundstaging I have heard from any cable. I found it to be lacking in transparency and rhythm to a large degree. If you have a very bright system that needs to be tamed and place a high value on soundstage width this might be your cable. I don''t think it is a very bad cable, but you can do much better with Acoutic Zen Satori for the same price. I don''t mean to offend the rave reviews, but I didn''t see that there had been comparisons with either Harmonic Tech or Acoustic Zen which both better the Silver Oval

Strength:

Incredible ; And I mean Incredible build quality, performence, clarity, & neutrality

Weakness:

Need to pay Strict attention to matching these cables to your system

This pair of cables is a 15ft run with the T connectors. Not sure why the 8ft catagory up top! I purchased these
cables, for my B-room system which is Tube and a difficult setup due to space considerations. My mistake was
as always poor research as I had purchased a pair of Harmonic Tech Pro 9's for the system not knowing they are
larger than my garden hose. The 9's are great cables and went into my HT system, but just too large & stiff for the bed room
system. So on the rec.of my hifi/becoming bro guy I was going to try the Anal + 9's in copper , but went for the
Silvers as I wanted the (hopefully) slightly bright quality for my tube system,so as not to be too soft. The Slivers
are narrow very flexible, almost, but not quite flat cables that are very easy to work with. JUST REMEMBER that
the T connectors are solid block so Make Sure your posts are the right size. These connectors DO NOT WIDEN/
Nor do they compress unless you have hydrolic equipment on hand. No b.s. these are serious connectors.
I've had the cables approx 3/4 mo.to date and they may still be breaking in. I say may
as I am not sure! These are the most neutral silver cables Ihave ever encountered. They provide excellent
clarity, and their presence is not remarkable as in influencing your ears. They aren't there. They dissapear.
If I were to have 1 c/o and it would only be one is they are almost too neutral for my
system. Not bright enough,so I feel some dynamics are not there yet. I may try them on my HT front B&W speakers
but I already did and the damm T connectors are a bear. So I may get a drill to ream the inside to increase their
diameter, inorder to fit the amp posts.
Problem is I really don't care. I like these cables ! Alot; not sure why. Maybe it's because they are beautiful
to look at , as they are in their construction. Maybe it's those magnificent but damm T connectors. Or maybe it
just what they do with the music. What ever I'm not letting them leave the house.
By the By ; the people at Analysis Plus are very accesible, and easy to connect with in that Audio
Addict kind of way. You all know what I mean.

Strength:

Balanced, articulate, detailed without sounding edgy.

Weakness:

May be too revealing for mid-fi systems

I purchased a 10ft pair of Silver Oval to replace a bi-wired set of Goertz MI 2. They are slender and flexible, and the build quality is superb. The best words I can use to describe the sound are, 'musically articulate'. I have tried some silver cables from other manufacturers and found them to be zippy, with an emphasis in the upper midrange and treble. This cable is beautifully balanced, with excellent transient behavior from the deep bass on up, and no treble emphasis. It unravels complex musical passages with alacrity, and conveys the dynamics (micro to macro) with amazing clarity and precision. The Silver Oval passes along the harmonic character of instruments and voices without adding any edge or overhang. Its sound-staging is exemplary; holographic and 3 dimensional when available on the recording. Their perspective is mid-hall, with depth and ambiance recovery being the best I've ever heard. I tried bi-wiring with an assortment of other cables before (and after since this is a single run) buying these, and nothing else worked to uncover the beauty of a great recording nearly as well. One nice thing is that they reveal the warts or flaws on mediocre recordings without emphasizing them. They allow me to appreciate my music collection as never before. For me, listening to fine music can be a deeply emotional experience. These cables have managed to connect me more effectively with my favorite artists and composers.

Strength:

Smooth, liquid midrange, outstanding 3D soundstaging abilities

Weakness:

bass extension not as good as other more expensive cables

A+ silver ovals are overall probably best sounding cables for $499 8ft price point. Midrange is smooth and liquid,
vocals are very nice. Treble is very slightly rolled off
which makes sound non-fatiguing but lacks the sparkle available with better cables. Sound stage is strong suite,
it is massive, near reference quality, excellent depth.
Bass extension is weakest feature, has nice warm bass but
no deep extension which is needed for rock, techno etc.
This gives overall laidback sound which is smooth as silk,
but lacks dynamic contrasts produced by more expensive better cables. I have bi-amp system and used Silver Oval
for high freq and Oval 9 for Low freq, works well together.
Massive spade connectors are visually impressive also.
So if you listen to music with no deep bass, this is extremely attractive cable. Silver ovals are not reference class cables, but it costs much more than $499 to get there, and these are great buy with many strengths for the price. Also they look beautiful with clear jacket, audio jewelry........my system:

Strength:

Clarity,top-end extension,imaging width,depth,female vocals,air,detail resolution,etc.

Weakness:

Slightly thin sounding,LONG BREAK-IN-+200hours,slightly forward sounding.

At first I was sort of disapointed in the sound of this cable, but, patience is a virtue! You MUST let it burn-in for at least 200+hours before you can really expect it to show its full potential! At first it sounds fairly good out of the box, then it sounds worse-bright and thin, then it begins to sound really great! The air, imaging, and inner-detail are extraordinary after break-in!Vocals,especially female, are great!Top-end extension is excellent also. The only complaint I've I still have with this cable in my particular system,is a slight thinness and forward sound.I also use the LAT International SS-1000D cables in my system. The LATs are great cables also!In areas of midrange tonal accuracy, harmonic accuracy, bass extension, and overall frequency response smoothness and naturalness the LATs were slightly better than the silver ovals, but,in my particular set-up I felt that the silver ovals had slightly better top-end extension, image width,inner-detail,and better vocal articulation than the LATs.So I got an[expensive]idea:What if I run a pair of LATs AND a pair of Analysis-Plus silver ovals to my Paradigm Studio 100V2 loudspeakers to the same binding posts[Tweeter-midrange section]and keep the straps on the posts for the bass section, since I'm using powered HSU Research subwoofers and HSU subwoofer amps for the bass [91 hz.and below]anyway?Well,I did and its a match made in heaven in my particular system! Now I have a combination of exceptional clarity,top-end extension, vocal articulation, detail, harmonic accuracy, midrange and vocal body, upper bass power, and killer dynamics!WHAT A COMBO!In this set-up,each cable compiments the others strengths and eliminates all the minor weaknesses of each one!For some reason, the Analysis-Plus cables in particular, sound better and more dynamic, etc.,when either paired with another cable,or with two pairs of the silver ovals used together!I am EXTREMELY PLEASED with this combination and couldn't be happier! If anyone out there has had similar experiences with the silver oval working best paired up,or paired up with another brand of cable, let me know by E-mail as this is very odd!The silver oval AND the LATs are fairly huge steps above the Kimber 4TC and to a lesser degree above the Analysis-Plus oval 12.The silver ovals are Highly Recommended, but,be very patient with the burn-in time! My system consists of:Two pair of Paradigm Reference Studio/100v2 loudspeakers[EXCEPTIONAL LOUDSPEAKERS],two HSU Research HRSW12VA subwoofers with outboard amps with built-in crossovers set at 91hz @24 db/octave,high and low pass,Carver A-760x power amp,Carver CT-24 preamp,Sony ES CD changer,Music Hall MMF-5 turntable with a Goldring 1042 cartridge and a Monolithic Sound PS-1 phono stage, and LAT IC200 Mark II interconnects.

Strength:

extension, air, timbre

Weakness:

seem a little fragile

At first, I had these on backwards...the dealer who sold them to me as a demo had either mislabeled them, or, my system is extremely sensitive (I think the former).

When I had them on backwards, they were very laid back, overly smooth, lacked detail and transparency...

When I then tried them in reverse, they were entirely different. These cables added the transparency, eveness in timbre, and extension back into my system that was missing when I replaced the MIT w/ the van den hul. The van den hul was good, but was too rounded and had very slight congestion in the upper mid-range.

I am running a 6ft pair.

decent soundstage & smooths out the sound & flexible design

Weakness:

thin presentation, modest detail

The sound seems to be too rounded and the presentation seems to be too thin for my liking, also real high-end extension is missing. The sound stage is pretty decent.
Beaten hollow by the Nordost Blue heaven cables which were far more detailed & a crisp clean presentation w/ a solid midrange.

Strength:

Very musical, lots of detail, good soundstage, integrates music beautifully

Weakness:

not as extended top and bottom as some others

I have just replaced Nordost Red Dawn speaker cable with the AP Silver Oval. The Nordost was twice as expensive. The AP does so many important things better than the Nordost in my system. I am genuinely surprised, even shocked, that a cable in this price range can sound this good. I don't know if it will work as well in every system, but it sure does the trick in mine. I have a very neutral, revealing system, so cable differences are easily apparent. And the AP is so 'skinny'. I was one of those people who assumed that thick, heavy cable was inherently superior; well, I guess not.

in a nutshell, this cable has reset the bar from what you can expect for $500 in speaker cables. In fact, its far superior in most regards to cables costing 2-3X as much.

Very Thing From The Top To The Bottom

Weakness:

Long Burn In Time

I been a audiophile for the past 20 plus years, I love music and equipment. I have had the good fortune to own some of the best ever built. Rowland, Mark Levinson, Audio Research etc.

This company makes the most natural sound cables on the market. No hype, no B.S. Music sounds open natural and transparent. On top of that it is priced fairly. That hard to believe when so many manufacture charges as much for there wire as a piece of excellent highend equipment.

The only problem I incountered was a long burn in period. I thought it was dull after a few hours but once it burned in WOW! Bass, Mids and the best highend I have every heard.

This wire is the total package. I own all silver wire from my front end to the speakers. There copper wire is a monster steal. So there is no reason not to try there wire.

See reviews in stereotimes.com. They go into more detail then I care to. Bottom line an excellent cable and beer budget price.
