Strength:

Unbelievable high range clarity and full bass. Very unobtrusive size.

Weakness:

None

I have 804 Nautilus speakers that were bi-wired with next to top of the line Monster cable. The sales guy at Innovative told me of Analysis and swore by it as he had personally tested over 50 different cables of the best there is. I the purchased (2)20 ft Oval Nines, (2)Analysis jumpers for the low pass bass and (2)innterconnects for preamp to amp. I can tell you that the difference out of the box was ubelievable, esp. the increased bass. I've read that this cable improves with 200-500 hours of burn-in. I don't want to wish my time away but I can't wait !

Strength:

Excellent tonality, clarity, imaging. Good flexibility.

Weakness:

None at the price. One of the spades broke with only finger tightning.

An outstanding cable, regardless of price. I was skeptical of the "multi-stranded" approach, but these are outstanding cables that should be at home in any system. Even the Audio Physic Virgo's are happy with them. These cables are extremely revealing, but not harsh or sibilant. Excellent bass control, and smooth highs. Why spend more? Yes, do break them in, if they are new.

Strength:

oval 9s transmits tons of information from top to bottom. After break-in, it creates a soundstage that is huge, meaty, airy, relaxed, clear, and clean.

Weakness:

the silver spade termination in amp side needs increased surface area. uneven termination in the speaker side - negative longer or shorter than the positive.

the oval 9s biwire was an outstanding upgrade. because i was very pleased with the improvements i internally re-wired the eclipse bipolars with the ovel 14s and as many would say it - there is no going back. the sound coming from a bipolars were astonishingly close to that from the inersound eros (well, almost). the sound of a snare drum is hard to reproduce but the oval 9s and 14s reproduce it very well although the 300b monoblocks also add that airiness in the sound. the other welcomed improvement i noticed is a significant increase in the sensitivity of the speakers as i find myself positioning the volume at 9 - 9:30 instead of the usual 10 - 10:30 position before. no one can go wrong witht the analysis plus oval 9s but push it to the limits - replace the internal wiring of your speakers with the oval 14s and you will be dancing with joy. cheers.

Strength:

Warmth, clarity, musicality, price.

Weakness:

NONE

I purchased a pair of 12' oval analysis 9 speaker cables last week. I have had them in my system for only 3 days and they are awesome. I yearn to listen to my stereo system when I'm away from the house. These cables are incredibly musical. For the first time, my speakers sing all the time, not just on occassional moments. Before you sink big money into any cable, try these, you will be glad you did.

Purchased them from Oliver at Delve audio. You can find him on Audiogon.com. He is a first class dealer and I highly recommend working with him. He is patient and understands peoples concerns about purchasing via internet. Highly recommended.

For further detail, see my review on Nautilus 804's.

Good luck.

Already posted a review, see below. This posting is to say that Analysis Plus also has excellent customer service. One of my spades broke on the speaker cable, so I contacted Analysis plus about it and they said no problem, send it back. I did, and got the repaired cable back in no time. This is a good company to deal with (not to mention state of the art sound quality). Thanks Analysis Plus!

Strength:

fullness, coherency, transparency, soundstage, neutrality, wide frequency range, control, dynamics, natural and refined timbre, inear details, grain free texture

Weakness:

too revealing for low end; long burning period

After the first week, i was about to return them, the sound being a bit to analytical. But, i decided to give them few more days, and this pay off. Like dh labs products, the burning period is quite long. They need around 200 hours to acheive 98% of their potentiel. I saw an improvement till the end of the second month. With these cables, the sound is more obvious (cleaner with less garbage, fuller, more accurate timbre, great transparency, better dynamics, deeper soundstage...). They seem to have no sound signature, except a small hint of warmth, wich is not bad is most systems.

They are also a bit revealing of bad components and bad interconnects (like monster interlink 400). They are not intented to be used with low end systems. Their great transparency and neutrality make them a good tool to evaluate your system. This is one the few cables that worth the price asked.

Weakness:

None (except maybe aesthetics to some)

Wow! These cables are absolutely amazing! I bought these from Delve Audio on a whim (maybe because AP is Michigan based and appears to use real engineering in designing cables) and was blown away! It was like I had spent $1000 or more on an electronics upgrade. Compared to the oval 9, the straightwire sounded bright and harsh in a specific band of high frequencies (speed and soundstaging was comparable) and the cardas sounded veiled, slow, bloaty in the midrange and upper bass, and rolled off in the high frequencies. The oval 9 was the only cable that sounded neutral, reproduced high frequency decay (cymbals, bells, etc...), revealed texture, focus, and detail all through the frequency range, and had extended and sweet highs... For systems that are already very forward in the treble, a demo of the AP is recommended. I can't wait until the AP copper interconnect is released... 5-stars. I think I would need to spend a lot more on cables to match the performance of the AP.

Strength:

Unbelieveable 3D sounstage from cable in this price range
Smooth as silk

Weakness:

At this price none

I have bi-amp and bi-wire system so I am using 8ft double runs of Oval nines. Cable sounds good out of box but allow
a few days of continuous run-in to evaluate. Smooth as silk,
totally natural midrange, makes listening to music a pure pleasure, totally non-fatiguing. Rich full sound, may initially sound relaxed, but further listening makes other
cables sound strained and exaggerated, nowhere near as liquid. The 3D soundstage created is amazing, near reference
quality, wide and deep, voices and instruments sound more
believable and fully dimensioned. Although these cables
compete with higher priced cables, they are missing about
5% treble detail and 5% deep bass extension of some $1000+
cable designs. However they do the remaining 90% so well I
am sold, and there are few cables at any price that are more
3 dimensional. My bi-wire now is Oval9/Oval9 which has
replaced my Argent/Forest combo, and costs 50% less!

Strength:

Good Bass

Weakness:

poor detail and imaging

These cables have all the same good things copper cables have and all the same bad things. Good, you can make very heavy cables because copper is cheap. This gives great bass. The don side is the top, midrange, detail and imaging. Of course people who have only heard copper cables wouldn't understand. The Silver Ovals give you a glimpse. But why pay $300 for these when just a few more bucks gets you all silver like my new Octets by pure silver sound. Much better sounding than the Silver Ovals at slightly more than the Oval 9's.

Strength:

Soundstaging and detail without harsness.Price!

Weakness:

ZERO

I tend to be skeptical about new products with such rave reviews but this one is for real, the hype is very true. See the various reviews for details(SoundStage! e-mag) about this cable because I can't really add anything to what's already been said. They will put a hurtin' on any cables up to and over $1000. I use them in a bi-wire setup.
