Strength:

Crisp sound. clear highs. Clean bass.

Weakness:

none that i know.i impressed !! I have a Technics SA-DX940 with modified Bose Speakers. they sounded like if i was in those stores listening to different speakers. They just came to life... didnt really care if i would beat them . Now im keeping them, they sound too great !! :)

At first i didnt think that upgrading to these cables would make a big difference... except that it is more expensive than normal cables. So i tought that maybe it would make somehow a little improvement. BOY was i impressed. My modified bose speakers came out from the dead . Great great great sound. No need for new speakers . :))

Weakness:

Included pin connectors stink!

Though I haven't compared to other cables, the sounds is good for all 5 channels. A great, less expensive alternative to Monsters (if your budget does not allow for $5/foot cables!).

My only complaint is with the included pin connectors on the 50' roll! The plastic covers are practically impossible to slip back over the cable! My suggestions is to just throw these away with the plastic wrap!

Strength:

Flexible, Thick

Weakness:

When it comes to sound there really are no weaknesses, however nothing really stands out in the Strengths.

Good cable for the price I paid for it I guess. I think it may need some time to break in though.

Strength:

Sound quality, low price, lots of tightly wound copper, thick insulation

Weakness:

My wire stripper's 10AWG setting still was too small for this 12AWG wire!

Don't bother with Monster cable when you can get this at a fraction of the cost. I could easily tell a difference between my 18 gauge wire and this when I hooked it up. This cable was my 4th purchase from Accessories For Less, and they are the best online retailer of A/V accessories I have yet to find.

Strength:

Big thick copper cable, good improvement without spending too much (0.80$/ft)

Weakness:

None

This was a replacement for my old RadioShack 18AWG skinny cable. Before changing all the cables, I wanted to make a comparison between the 2 sets of cables. So I used the old cable on one speaker and the Acoustic Research on the other speaker. I listened to about a dozen songs and the result was just amazing: the music from the Acoustic Research was much more neutral and crisp (there was some midrange coloration with the RadioShack cable).

I also noticed a gain of a few decibels (I changed the speakers position to make sure it wasn't because of the speakers location). From now on, I'm sold to Bigger Is Better for cables...

Strength:

price, insulation is thick

Weakness:

hard to strip (is that a weakness?)

Monster cable is a gimmick. You can get 40ft of premium grade, 12 AWG copper cable (I think they're sold out though)
from recotondirect for $2.99, and it is noticeable better than Monster right out of the package. What does that insulated wire that runs down the center of the Monster do anyway? A dielectric? Anyway, IMHO Monster products color the sound. The AR speaker cable really lets you hear the music more naturally. I can now hear what an acoustic guitar is supposed to sound like.
