I have got a couple of new one meter long black Siltech SPX 300 G7 mains chords to feed my cd player (Electrocompaniet EMC-1 24/96 bought in 2001) and my DAC (Electrocompaniet ECD bought in 2009 to add 24/192 upsampling). They have replaced a couple of excellent Siltech SPX 20, and I must say that they add more focus and delicacy, more 3D sound and an ability to read a wider and richer palette of all kind of bass, keeping punch, tightness and control. I aso got a second hand blue one meter long Siltech spx 30 g5 mk1 chord (without SATT) to branch it to a Gryphon Callisto 2200 amp. Moreover everything is connected to an old second hand eightfold Siltech Octopus powerstring (alas! provided with a "country" SPO 18.chord). These 3 new chords +the Octopus have improved significantly my audio experience. More air, more detai and precision, more depth and wideness, less distortion at high levels, cleaner and more harmonic rendition of music. The SPX 300 g7 (now deiscontinued and replaced by model spx 370 g7) were not cheap but compared with other hi-end chords they are a bargain.
The only complaint is they are very stiff and hard to address, needing at least 40 cm between the amp and the wall. On the other hand, their luxury jewell desing, I find a bit disappointing.
