Strength:
Beautiful highs, smooth liquid mids, and deep tight bass
Weakness:
none First let me say from the outset that I have no affiliation with Pure Silver Sound. I decided to try the PSS Quartets based solely on reviews read here in the hall of fame. Similar Products Used: Much of the AudioQuest and AudioTruth line, Transparent, HomeGrown, Monster |

I am enjoying the clarity of the silver. The sound has been refined with amazing detail. All frequencies have been polished with gripping bass, greater soundstage, crisper highs, and convincing voices. I now can hear recording studioreflections that suggest room size in some CDs.... The cables have warmed up since my first listening session and I am enjoying a sound significantly more lifelike. The transparency of the Quartets will make it easier to refine my system components to my preferred sound. So far they are the best cables I have laid ears on. |

Strength:
Transparent sound, Excellent midrange and high frequencies.
Weakness:
None I have used Pure Silver Sound cables and interconnects in my stereo for nearly a year and find their sound to be stunningly addictive and transparent. Clearly, PSS cables/interconnects provide outstanding sound quality and I recommend them without reservation to others, particularly with tube amplification system. Frank will also customize orders to need; in my case creating custom speaker interconnects for the speakers themselves(couping the horns and subwoofers). Similar Products Used: Kimber, Monster |

Strength:
Great sound at a great price.
Weakness:
IC is unshielded, but no prob at short lengths In Frank Steele's defense, he is swamped with orders because he has a great product at a great price -- and my experience Similar Products Used: AudioQuest, etc. |

Strength:
Sounds great
Weakness:
None In the past month or two I've put together a new system, choosing the components almost exclusively based on reviews posted in AudioReview, so I figured it's my turn to contribute. My new system includes a Sim Audio Celeste I-5080 integrated amp, and a pair of Soliloquy 5.3 floorstanding speakers bi-wired with two pair of Analysis One 12 gauge speaker cables. My CD player is a Harmon Kardon FL 8300. The sound from this system was phenomenal; rich, clean, deep, transparent. Then I purchased the Pure Silver Sound quartet interconnects and let them break in for about 24 hours. Similar Products Used: None |

this is a review of the Pss sextet speaker wire, not the quartet interconnect. the webmaster appears to have ignored my request to have the sextet space added to this site, so i am putting my review here. actually this will cover the pss products as a system, as i now own and am using the pss quartet interconnects, the pss sextet speaker wire, the silver bridge to connect the high & low binding posts on my monitor audio silver 5's, and the pss pure silver power cord. my final verdict - there is simply nothing better on the market, at any price. At least nothing that I have heard (and I have heard a lot) is better. Wow, who would have thought that silver was so smooth? these are very synergistic with the rest of my system, which I built to be extremely acurate and detail oriented. the only problem is this tended toward bright sound that induced listening fatigue, especially at high volumes. the pss products have elimitated that completely. brass instruments no longer dominate the music when they enter and violins no longer sound like they are being played with steel strings. the only drawback (if you can call it that) is that on a regular basis I have to yell across the room to be heard by my wife (or she has to yell at me) - then i realize that i have been listening at very high volume and did not realize it. part of what contributes to this is the lack of compression the wires exhibit. so, I turn up the volume during the soft passages (because they are softer than I am used to), but then the loud passages are louder than I am used to also, so the volume, especially on music that starts softly & ends loudly will be much louder during peaks and crescendo's. but, again, the sound is so smooth & non-edgy that i never notice it until i either turn it off or try to talk to someone while the music is playing. plus, I paid less for the entire silver wire system from PSS (2 pair of interconnects, 12 foot pair of speaker wire, silver bridge, and silver power cord) than I would have paid for a single pair of 1 meter silver interconnects from Audioquest (Audioquest Diamond - $950) so, I am one happy camper - music now sounds like it was made by real flesh and blood musicians, not digitized plastic copies of musicians. and isn't that what it is really all about? Strength:
Transparency, balance
Weakness:
Zero Wow. From the moment I hooked these up, my music sounded more balanced, accurate and true. From choral music to '70s rock, these made a HUGE difference in my "beginner audiophile" system without requiring a HUGE investment. This is the best $120 I've spent so far on my system.
