Strength:

Extremely quiet cable, alowing detail and dynamics to shine. Great with tube electronics.

Weakness:

Muddy bass when used with speakers requiring firm bass control (like Proac Response series). Yes, it is stiff, but that only comes into play during setup - if you're one to move equipment around a lot, it could become a pain.

See above comments. I haven't tried a cable that made such a difference in the sound. You'd be in for a shock if you placed them all through your system. They kick it with all kinds of music. I haven't heard the newer generation of these yet, and they may have fixed the bass problem I mention. These should be really choice in a home theater setup. Granted, other cables do better in certain areas, but for the price (new or used), these excel in the parameters that hit my long-term hot buttons....and for most of us, that's all we want from our cable investment.

Strength:

Very clean and airy presentaion. Great detail on both ends!

Weakness:

Stiff

This is for the original Superconductor that started it all. I tried one set and immediately started searching for more! I now have 3 sets and they are a great bargain!
At first Inoticed thedetail theese interconnects bring out. Everything becomes a little clearer. Instrument seperation is fantastic. Pick out which cymbals are being played and listen to the high hats while distinctly hearing the brush on others! You get so inticed by the detail and ultra quiet background you can lose track of the rest of the magic...until you try to remove them! I ran some HT wires from pre to amp and at first thought it was pretty good. After a while though i started to notice that something was missing from the body of the music? What was it? The weight seemed lighter? mid bass had less attack? Couldn't put my finger on it exactly but I knew something was no longer there. Back goes the SC and back comes the sound. Channel seperation was maybe a touch better w/ the HT gear but the music was much more satisfying w/ the SC.
You can get a lot of good used cables today for around $150. However, I suggest if ever you see these gems for sale at that price point you POUNCE on them fast.

Strength:

Excellent Midrange

Weakness:

top-end a bit dark

I've been using JPS's superconductor+ interconnect for 2 weeks now. The midrange is fantastic, clean with plenty of details, the bass is nice and not over-exaggerated, But the high is a bit dark compared to cables in the same price range, for top of the system might have to opt for something else, perhaps the superconductor 2 which I haven't tried. Overall, great sounding cable for the money.

I have used the Superconductors+ speaker cables from JPS Labs for a little more than a month now. It's everything that reviews have said it would be. Excellent transparency and midrange liquidity and very quiet. Cymbals don't sound splashy like some of the cables mentioned above. Bass is tight and nice. Overall construction quality is excellent too, with Cardas Rhodium spades termination. I think I will be happy with these cables for a long while. Yes, it's a little expensive but you pay for the quality.

I never thought speaker cables could make such a difference. These JPS superconductors are just outstanding, brings out the best in the system, worth every penny (which I did not think would be the case when I first tried them out). Get them!

This is for the Superconducter+ interconnect, which is discontinued. The Diamondback and the Ultraconducter are both very good cables. The Superconducter+ is that much better for just a little bit more money.Transparent and full of detail, I can't imagine a better cable for the price.I am certainly not an expert, but this is an excellent bargain on the used market in the $150-250 price range.

Both the Superconductors are worthwhile listing to. As always with cables they must 'fall into place' but these cables I've heard on different systems
and my overall rating is 5 stars!
What is evident is the soundstage. Every instrument has irs defined place
and clearness. I whish that recordings sounded like JPS!

The JPS superconductor speaker cable is the finest I have heard in my system. They clearly better other high end cables and in not so subtle ways. There is a remarkable wealth of detail presented without distortion or edge. The bass is extremely articulate. Dynamics are rendered naturally, with great ability to cover the full range of dynamic contrasts. What the cables really seem to do is eliminate any sort of smearing of the signal that causes a loss of fine detail. There really is space between the notes, and these cables may make you aware of it for the first time. Very highly recommended. My current speakers are ProAc Response 1sc's. They really shine with this cable.

Wow, what a difference JPS labs superconductor speaker cables and the interconnects made to my system. Every thing sounds so clear and accurate.Very hard to bend and interconnects seems to throw my cd player around but after some bending and little time everything came into places.
Sounds wonderful. I have tried Nordost Red Dawn, Transparent cable(music wave+), Audio Truth cables, and Cardas. Nothing sounds like JPS labs.

These revolutionary interconnects are not comparable to the best. They are the best !! in my opinion. Have listened to the MITs, Transparents, Kimber, Purist Audio, Cardas and these are not as resolving of the tonality of instruments. Detailed, yet liquid as well, deep excellently defined bass, what more can one ask ? It's cheaper than the best-known interconnects. Price increases by 25% from Jan 1999, though. Not as stiff as you think. 6-stars !!
