Strength:

Good connection & look good

Weakness:

None at price range

Big improvement in detail, without an an increase in brightness. Even without being broken in. Not quite as dynamic as the Corals, but not as bright either.

Strength:

Useful for hanging stuff from the rafters.

Weakness:

Let's see--pride in product; answering customer's complaints; transmitting signals.

I purchased and used these for about a year and they were fine. After purchasing a new Aragon Amp, I noticed a hum in one channel. After substantial investigation that took me several months to perform, I found out that the problem was one of my Audioquest interconnects! $50 and the damn thing causes a hum! This is the first time ever that I have had trouble with an interconnect, even the $3 ones! I e-mailed the company and have not received any reply (Great customer service, folks, not to mention quality control!). Upon replacing the Audiocruds with a pair of $10 OFC cables from Parts Express, I noticed an improvement in my soundstage; certainly, there was no deterioration. My audio repairman confirmed the nonsense about cables; he recommends lampcord. Color me poorer but wiser.

Strength:

Good low-frequency response; inexpensive. Makes a decent subwoofer cable.

Weakness:

Poor mid- and high-frequency detail & air; beaten by Kimber --and even Monster.

You often get what you pay for. But comparing Kimber to Audioquest, you'll find that Kimber offers much better sound for your money, esp. in mid- and high-frequency detail & air (though perhaps not with low-frequency bass info). Moreover, I found that even my old Monster 300 MK II interconnects sounded better than these Audioquest ones (though not as good as anything from Kimber). I now use Audioquest only for LFE (and for video & digital audio), where they perform just fine. For analog audio, even Kimber's new entry-level Tonik offers significantly better sound at the same price point.

Kimber Tonik (good), PBJ (better), & Hero (best); Monster 100 (poor), 200, and 300 Mk II (decent).

Strength:

Nuetral and clean presentation. Non fatigueing and musical. Rich and engaging accuracy.

Weakness:

The qualities of its precision perhaps detract from an "airiness" in the soundstage although not detrementally.

A very nice upgrade! Replaced a pair of UltraLink's that I had to connect my Anthem mca 20 to my Nad 761 pre/receiver and wow, does the system finally sound like it should! Treble is cleaner and grainless, and clear with no harshness to it. Mid range comes across naturally and potently. Soundstage is more pronounced and accurate. And bass is vibrant and warm. I'm still amazed at what a pair of cables can do for one's gear.

Strength:

rich detailed sound

Weakness:

fine detail is lacking

This is a very involving cable at a great price. The copperhead is one of the most underestimated cables in the audioquest line. It gives a string and rich sound, that is uncompared to at anything under $100. Realistically, unless you plan to spend over $125 on a cable, and sonic improvements are so minimal that it is not worth the upgrade. My system includes: Rotel 951CD B&K PT-3 Acurus A100 Martin Logan Aerius i

Strength:

Pretty wrapping, good connectors, nice sound.

Weakness:

Not really.

Not much to really say. The Copperheads aren't the best cable ever made, but at the price point I haven't heard anything that beats them. The sound is rich and smooth. I can hear far better detail in the audio then on the Monster and Acustic Research cables I have used in my system. No noticable crosstalk or interference. Just a good all around cable for a good price.

Strength:

price, build quality, sound

Weakness:

none so far

So far im pleased with the build quality and sound I've received with the Copperhead. I would highly recommend to anyone with a mid-fi system like mine:

Rotel RC-972
Carver TCM-15cb
Paradigm Reference 20's
Velodyne VA-810x

Its very difficult to review a cable without having a ton of other brands to test at the same time. I did upgrade from the monster 300MkII and noticed improvement in high feq. clarity and a tighter bass response. Not a major change but enough to make the Copperhead a great purchase.
