Pro-Ject Perspective TurnTables

Pro-Ject Perspective TurnTables

DESCRIPTION

The Perspective is constructed using a visually stunning, clear acrylic plinth. Floating above the plinth is a sophisticated and complex sub-chassis system suspended by three height adjustable springs. Additional features include: an aluminum alloy platter with a vinyl mat, a threaded record clamp, adjustable cone feet, and a silicone damping trough to eliminate unwanted resonance from the sub-chassis. Precision Swiss bearings in the tonearm help provide this turntable system with superior cartridge control. There are female, chassis mount RCA connectors on the rear panel to allow for the use of any single ended interconnect cables.

I bought the Perspective as a demo and can only compare it to my old Philips 212. I was surprised at the greater detail and range of sound. The Perspective came with a Grado red (which sounded very nice, especially for Rock) and I moved onto Benz Micro, now using a BM Ace HO.
This turntable has been very reliable and I appreciate that the arm is fully adjustable (including a different weight). Changing speeds is a hassle because the belt drive spindle needs to be changed, but I never play 45's anyway.
One thing I added from the after market was these little isolation pads someone recommended on AudoKarma, they improve the bass nicely.
