Strength:

Precision Made, Reliable, Sturdy

Weakness:

None

I've been using the Dual CS741-Q for 2yrs. It took awhile to find one in such pristine condition as the one I own.
This unit is definitely precision made to high quality standards.
Floating Chasis blocks all vibrations even if your speakers are close to the turntable. No Feedback. The ULM tonearm gives superior tracking ability. Fully automatic with simple controls. High torque motor for quick start-up. The CS741-Q is one of Dual's best models for the CS series. If you're looking for one, keep checking Ebay. It's worth the money for a good one! Keep spinning on! :-) Just for a little extra info: The unit was manufactured 1981-1983 sold w/o cartridge $500.00 $650.00 With cartridge.

The Dual 741 with a Stanton 881s (Pickering XSV 3000) and a pair of AR10pi were my introduction into hi fi in the early eighties. Since then I've owned a Kenwood 500 with a Black Widow, a Thorens TD 126 with an SME 3009 and a SOTA Ruby upgraded with a Dynavector 501 and too many phono cartridges to mention. (Decca Gold, Denon 103d, Fidelity Research FR1 Mk 3f and the above Stanton were about the best each in their own way)

Like many a car I wish I never sold, I wish I never gave up that Dual, nor the AR's.

If you own one, I would highly recommend that you keep it; It was about the best table out there when records were at their zenith and It's a part of history which can't be repeated or reproduced.
