Strength:

Audio Technica's take on a classic design at 1/4 of the cost of the famous 1200. Weighing in at around 25lbs. this thing is not a toy, it's a FULLY MANUAL professional TT for DJs or budget audiophiles alike. I got mine off Ebay for $200 in mint condition (seller loved it but her new husband owns an upscale Thorens). The AT-LP120-USB has a direct drive, virtually noiseless, reversible 3 speed motor so there won't be any belt replacing. You can transfer your vinyl to digital with the soft ware and cables that it comes with. You can upgrade the familiar 1/2 inch headshell with a multitude of budget or high end cartridges, however it comes with the highly touted AND popular AT95E cartridge and I think new replacement styli should be readily available for a long time. The tonearm has a cueing lever for shaky hands and is adjustable for height and balance. Strobe light accuracy, an electronic brake, pitch control and a hinged dust cover top off this beautiful turntable.

Weakness:

I don't find it a weakness but some might. As stated this is a fully manual turntable you must beguine play by lowering the needle onto the record by hand and return it by hand to it's rest when play has ended.
