Strength:

I have this receiver. It’s an absolute beast mode tank. Not only is the sound quality amazing, the reliability rivals a rock, and the capabilities immense, the feature set and interface are COMPREHENSIVE and NO BULLSHIT. Everything you need is there, accessible, and intuitive, and no insulting BS or overly stylistic user interface. It’s near-analogue reliable operation totally masks the digital underpinnings. Genuinely astounded by how good this receiver is.

Weakness:

For 5 channels, including front towers, you’re good. Bump that up to 7 speakers run at full range (very little reason to do this), you’re going to need an external amplifier to do proper explosion simulation. That’s fine because you can easily hook up an external amplifier to any of the 7 channels with the provided pre-outs. Thus my only negative is: I can’t find the preout sensitivity listed anywhere.
