I have an AIWA AV-S17 stereo receiver. It used to play very well but I now have a problem. When I put on the unit, it plays for a while, the time is variable from 5 minutes to one hour, and then automatically switches to the ECO mode and the transmission is lost. This happens on whatever mode the unit is used, whether tape, CD or radio. Can anyone assist with this? Many thanks. Desmond

Remote SHould Have More Functions

I Happen To Think This Product Was A Good Use Of 120 Dollars......It Sounds Great With An Amplifier And My Kenwood Changer.....With A Set Of Kenwood Towers This Sh*t Bumps.....Crazy As Hell The Best Thing About It Is The Looks Of The Display. Not Only DOes It Look Good But It Also Matches My Equalizer And Cd Changer.....Any Hip-Hop Or Rap Bumps Like Crazy. Even Trance Is Tight On This Reciever....One Of The Best I Have Owned.... Strength:

powerfull, little distortion, loud as hell on my rca 12" 3 way speakers.

Weakness:

the only weakness even worth saying about this receiver is that you cant ajust the t bass from the remote, and thats not even a big deal.

i think this reciever kicks ass, it has all kinds of features, t bass, dimmer, level input, lots of inputs on the back, and the sub out put, which i havent used, but i think it is cool. this thing whomps on my friends receiver that the got at the same time for 139.great reciever for the money i really like it.

Strength:

Ok Bass output, good price.

Weakness:

Cheap build quality, broken remote. Wouldn''t recommend this to anyone. Spend $20 more and get something good.

This has serious build issues, Out of the box there was some serious problems with the remote controll, I had to constantly take the batteries in and out to make it reset and actually work. The volume controll has some cheap paint and its already comming off making the unit look cheap. Spend some more and stear clear of this unit.

Weakness:

Case is sort of flimsy. Treble response just a little low.

Perfect bargain receiver. Delivers nice and full sound that doesn't skimp off on the bass. Definately one of the best ones around in this price range. Pair it up w/ some Technics speakers and you're ready to party.

Strength:

overload protection, low distortion.

Weakness:

not alot of power, very little bass, little to no treble, subwoofer out doesn't have a crossover on it

good sound, and looks. A+B speakers doesnt work well, when u have A+B speakers on then the amp cutts the power in half instead of doubling like high current amps. (it is louder to use just 2 speakers with just A or B then 4 speakers A+B

Not a very good sounding product. Music comes out rather cold and lifeless. Using the highest tbass setting causes distortion and muddiness at higher volumes. My unit had build quality issues, the volume dial was scratching the plastic casing. I'd suggest spending a bit more and getting something nicer if possible.
