Strength:

nice quiet phono stage. I collect LP's and this pre-amp is great for record listening

Weakness:

I have had trouble with power supply noise reaching the pre-amp outputs. I still can't determine whether it it from the pre-amp or from the wall.

I've enjoyed this pre-amp, espicially at its price. For the money you can't go wrong, but it is always difficult to resist the upgrade bug.

Strength:

This is an all-time bargain, especially at second-hand prices as low as $100. It's dead quiet (outboard PSU helps a lot), projects a broad 3-D soundstage (dual mono design gives total channel separation), marvelous retrieval of low-level detail, and rich tonal colors. The phono stage is superb, with plenty of gain, though a low-output MC requires a step-up device. It simple can't be beat for the money, and makes no apologies to units costing several times as much.

Weakness:

Looks crappy. Separate L-R volume controls are fiddly, but you get used to it.

Unbeatable value for money. Don't hesitate.
