Strength:

Clarity, dynamic impact

Weakness:

mediocre tonal accuracy and soundstage

Easy to set up and use, solid construction, surprising dynamic range, impact, clarity and smooth highs BUT lacks tonal refinement, that is, it tends to homogenize the tonal quality of instruments that are quite distinct with other preamps. The spatial characteristics are good but not great. The built-in phono preamp in my old Sony receiver outperformed it in spaciousness and tonal accuracy and another outboard phono preamp by Bozak Madisson wiped them both out in these respects.
