Strength:

Precision, Ease of Use, laid-back presentation, build quality, tube-ish qualities without the hassles

Weakness:

The Remote is a little on the cheap, but come on

Traded in my troublesome Modulus for a trouble-free CJ. I was expecting to lose the nice laid back peresentation, particularly since I use a Bryston 4BST and Thiel 2.3 speakers. Well, I did notice some edginess on the CDs, but certainly nothing unbearable. I also picked up the CJ EV-1 Phono stage. Well, with my vinyl, the CJ team presents me with luscious and musical presentation. I am very happy.

If all you listen to are CDs, you will want to carefully match your components and look for more laid back amps and speakers. If you can spring for the preamp and th CJ phono stage, you should do so. Buy it if you have the wherewithal. I got mine as a fresh-factory reconditioned unit with full warranty.
