Strength:

Sound imaging and detail, build quality. Uses only two tubes. Combines best of both worlds solid state/tube.

Weakness:

Very little - Careful tube matching. Sounds best with NOS tubes but will ring with some and drives tubes hard.

hard

Upgraded from ADCOM 565 and what a difference. This was my first tube product and I have not been dissapointed, very musical preamp. Sound imaging and detail are great and really allow me to hear into the music. Mates well with my McCormack DNA1 deluxe and Martin Logan Aerius. I recently
upgaded the stock Sovtek 6922 tubes to NOS tubes from Upscale Audio and the sound difference is significant. The two I have tried are Siemens 7308's (gold pin) and Tungsram 6922's. I believe this preamp is a great product for the
price it allowed me to get into the tube market / sound without having to pay huge bucks to retube every couple years. I have seen the product used for around 800.00 and there are very few products that give you this amount of
enjoyment and high end value at this price.
