This is a very good sounding amp for the money. I changed the tube out with some JAN SYLVANIA 6922 and what a big change in clean sound and more base. I allso changed all the big caps to denon and nichicon and that really brought this thing to life. The boards are very well built . I know there are some bad reviews out there but after reading some of them It kinda sounds like the person who thinks they know some about repairing electronics and setting bias dont really know what is going on with this thing. Yes there are some components that could be changed out to higher quality parts but the best change and the first should be the tubes. The heat problem some complane about will go away. The china tubes have big heaters in them hence the heat problem. The inside is all hand built very well laid out wires and etc. If you like to tinker with stuff or just want a cheap introduction to tubes this is a good starting point and a fun little amp and great for movie sound too.
