The USA now has a Quad distributor so it's time someone reviews this wonderful integrated. I purchased mine new from Lane Mart, Quad USA distributor until 2012. The build quality of these integrated amps is simply stunning. Designed by Tim de Paravicini, the Quad Classic II sounds as good as it looks, and works very well with my 2 sets of speakers, both 8 ohm with sensitivities of 90db and 92db. 25 class A watts powered by KT66 tubes drives my speakers to loud levels without any distortion. Audiophile descriptions of this integrated would note the wide and deep soundstage, powerful bass, lush/fluid sound with great resolution and detail. It brings passion to the music you listen to, definitively not solid state, it's met to be listened to and enjoyed forever
