This unit is actually from 2012..purchased used for $500.CAD. I have owned enough integrated amps to choke an elephant over the years. Several NAD's, Cambridge Audio, Rega BrioR, Musical Fidelity A100/A2, Cyrus II/wpsx, Kenwood, Marantz......blah blah. This Quad is easliy the smoothest, best channel separation and sounds much more powerful than it's 80wpc ...
If you can find one buy it.......trust me

i compared this one with
naim nait 5si
cambridge 851
sugden mystro & a21a mk2

it was the most solid build and neutral amp.
sweet trebble without harshness and very tight bass.
maybe not the most spectacular in this group but after a
while you will like it more and more. sound is sophisticaded
and very good control over my harbeth speaker.
