This review is about the IA7 V3 !! I don't know how to upload the matching pics. I read often the magazin 6moons and they were overall reviewing positive about this brand. Especially the Ref9 Monoblocks. Because of the huge price of the monoblocks I decided to buy the cheaper versions. So done and bought a used Ia7V3. First time it sounded like a well and refined product. One time I compared it with an italian Bluenote amp from an audio friend. The Nuforce sounded compared to it like a refrigerator. And the high dampng factor of Nuforce ? Did not work. Also here the Bluenote had more punch. Maybe it depended on the speakers we used.

Sadly in combination with other speakers it became not better in fact. When you read the article about the Nuforce monoblocks at 10audio.com you understand well what I mean. I can totally share the impressions of the reviewer there.

My first experiences with Class-D amplifiers began with the Tripaths. These sound to me as one of the best amps you can get for your money - provided that you own high sensitivity speakers because these are not the
most powerful. You can compare them with good tube amps. Since that time I decided NEVER to buy an Class A/B amp because these are meanwhile boring me with their less dynamics and speed in all frequencies.

And then I discovered the Nuforce-Icon (the smaller amp of them for desktop PC use). Because of many good reviews I was a bit inquisitive and checked it up. It did his job very well regarding its smaller size and power.
But when I listened music (mp3-files) with it over an Koss Porta Pro Headphone I was right astonishe about this full body, mellow, detailed and YES ! You can describe it like the sound of a vinyl record.

This experience was the reason to give one of the bigger Nuforce Amps a try and I never regretted the purchase of the IA-7 V2. This amp controls easily my JmLab Profil 77 and with its enourmous high damping factor it should control many hard to drive speakers - I am nearly sure about that. Even at low listening levels you can enjoy every detail with that pressure of sound that fills up your listening room. Image and soundstage very wide and deep - NO harshness or sibilance from voices even though they came very clear and authentic. This brand is maybe the only one which holds some patents in audio sector the last years. That´s really rare and you can listen out that progress made in Class-D amplifying technology the last years and Nuforce is maybe the leader in High End Class-D amps. I can imagine myself what performance their bigger monoblocks Reference 9 V2 would deliver :-))
