Strength:

good with voices ..

Weakness:

no dynamic, no 3d stage, ... no life .

this amps is like a tractor. Compare it to a little amps like Cambridge Audio or even a little Nad ! there is so much more dynamic compared to this tractor ! i'm very dissapointed but as the seller said to me : a true price for good amps of 100 watts is not 800$ but 10000$.

Strength:

Very clear sound, excellent sound stage. LOADS of power. Can handle just about any speaker.

Weakness:

None really. But requires quite some space as it quickly gets warm and needs airing. Very heavy - but hey that's cool!!

This brilliant ampflier handles any genre you can think of with ease. There is lots of power for demanding genres like organ music and Romantic Symphonies. The amp is also the business when playing rhythmic music. I cannot believe I got it this cheap. It is a bargain!

Weakness:

It´s heavy weight demands a solid foundation. Some people will miss some buttons. The thick alu-front easily get scratches so take care!!!!

The Nad S 300 is not a thing that you would like carrying around ;o) It got´s very nice speaker binding posts (WBT)and RCA on the back. I really like the control of the Nad S 300. It forces my JBL TI-1000 speakers to obey and do what my Marantz CD 10 tells them to do.
On the other hand The Kenwood surround receiver was a setback in stereo mode compared to the Marantz PM 52. Never cheap surround again!!!!. But now I am in hifi-heaven for sure. Unfortunately i haven´t compared the Nad S 300 to equally priced integrated amplifier but it completely satifies my demands.

Strength:

Great power-is able to run almost any speaker. Great sound detailed and nice

Weakness:

Could be a bit hard, needs a nice and soft cd-player

A great amplifier that kills everything in it´s path...
It shure is killer!
Does it all with a force unlike any other but still keeping the fine details and the blod in the voices, and the bass...Dreamlike - deep and extremly tight. This amplifier is really fast.
I love it, I love it, I love it!!!

Strength:

bien chaud les hautes frequences sont rapides et fines
la connectique est de grande qualite(WBT)
100W sur vitamine

Weakness:

un long temps de chauffe
un haut grave trop present
un image resserre

le s300 peut driver beaucoup d enceintes
ses modestes 100w suffisent car sont allimentation est
hyper dimensionne

Strength:

Transparency, resolution, soundstage, power and build quality.

Weakness:

Remote control not in alu silver finish (if important) and the S70 remote is very expensive.

At approximately 2000$ I must say that this integrated amp is a bargain. In my oppinion the S300 outperforms almost all of the above products, which I have had the opportunity to try, in terms of greater transparency, resolution and bass control. Except the Densen pre-amp/power-amp BEAT setup, which has all of the S300 strengths and sounds 100% as good as the S300 (actually I find them very similar sounding), but also comes with a considerable higher price tag.

The thing that immediately striked me when I heard this amp was the very clean and extremely transparent sound produced - combined with a soundstage, in which all instruments precisely could be pinpointed. The bass is very controlled and well reproduced in my oppinion, but this differs as everything else from person to person.

This is definitely a high-end product (an explanation to why this amp sounds as good as it does could be because this amp originally was designed by Gryphon. I have been told that this is the case. Look at the remarkable similarities to the much much more expensive Gryphon Tabu Century integrated amp in terms of specifications and visual layout. It simply can't be a coincident).

If you consider the S100 + S200 it is my advise to listen the S300 also. I have not listened to the S100 + S200 setup simply because I was told that it was not worth the effort - the S300 was the one to go for.
