I own DALI Evidence 470 speakers and was looking for appropriate amp for them.
I auditioned 470 with several amps and the sound created by NAD 319 suites me best. So I bought one. But after a few hours of burn-in it appeared that the remote control is not working properly and the channel balance is... odd. Left channels power was somewhat of half power of the right one. The distributor changed immediately to a new one.
Sonically it is a very good amp, high current possibility, clean, detailed sound, well controlled “fast” bass. It is just as I like it. Primare has “grainy” treble for myself and Musical Fidelity is too "sweet".
Good amp (in terms of sound ) but WATCH THE QUALITY!
5 stars for the sound in the "up to $1000" group, 2 stars for build quality.

Strength:

Clarity, power

Weakness:

Slightly Clinical(only slightly), only 1 set of speaker jacks

Manages to produce a very clear sound. The main thing I noticed was how well seperated the different instruments/sounds were. Has a very powerful sound with great dynamics that goes as loud as any sane person needs in the home. I was upgrading from a 6 year old Technics SU-A800 amp which has a very warm sound and I was actually quite thrown at first because of the detail that came through my speakers when I hooked the NAD up. The bass is powerful and controlled and the treble is sweet. My main gripe is that I have to turn the bass tone control up slightly to get the slightly warmer balance that I prefer as I find the midrange slightly too prominent. I would heartily recommend it to anyone wanting an amp (especially if you like to party) in the £500 range but I would be carefull of partnering it to speakers with an upfront midrange. Despite my gripe this amp has still made me want to listen to all my CD's again and has made me a bit of a hermit for the last few months.

Strength:

Great power, handels huge speakers great. Can play many hours without lose the control.

Weakness:

My oh my..... with NAD 216 and AL1000, my ears goes to hell

POWER POWER POWER!! Its feed mye speakers with more than enough power, its never give it up. I used it on many partys, and its never get to hot. With NAD 216 it becomes a powerplant, 2x 400 RMS at 8ohm.. My Cerwin Vega AL1000 shackes the house, its great to put on my KoRn, Metallica and Prodigy CD's, in my NAD C 540 (that play beautifull, unless the cd got many scratches).

Its power in every punch the speaker takes. PARTY ON!!!

I've been listening to this amp for well over six months now, and I love it!

I use it with DALI 450 speakers and a Marantz CD player. After upgrading my speaker cables (Tara Labs) ...well, it just sounds fantastic!

Everything about this product is excellent, buy it!
