THIS IS THE EXCELLENT INTEGARTED AMP THAT I'VE EVER HEARD.
WHEN YOU FIRST HERE THE SOUND YOU WILL BE SURPRISED THAT TOTALLY DIFFERENT WITH THE SOLID STATE SOUND CHARACTER.
IT MIDRANGE MORE SOUND LIKE VERY EXPENSIVE SINGLE ENDED TUBE AMP.BUT VERY DYNAMIC.
SO, IF YOU ARE LOOKING THE BEST INTEGRATED AMP., THIS WILL BE THE BEST RECOMMENDED ITEM.

I wasn't going to leave a review here, I just wanted to read some reviews of others, but when I saw reviews with ratings of one star I am compelled to make a few comments. I didn't even waste my time to read the comments of the couple that gave this amp a one star rating. I replaced a Meridian 502 preamp and 557 power amp with the Mark Levinson 383 and I am completely happy with it!! I find it very enjoyable to listen to and I love the simplicity of an integrated amp, as many others appear to also as they are becoming ever more popular in the "high-end" arena.
We all have the right to our opinions, but this piece does not deserve these ratings.

Try to go to the Excel Shop at Mongkok and tell the staff there that you want to listen to the ML 383 or other models. One audiophile told me that once he wanted to try to audition to this ML383, which was switched on at low volume at the Mongkok Excel. He politely asked the fat sales if he could turn the volume a little bit louder. You know the response? The fat guy (with glasses) turned off the 383 and ignored this potential client!!!! That is the way they treated customers. If you dress up and wear a Gold Rolex or something like that, they will serve you. If you look poor and dirty, please leave our place. Excel does not opened to dogs and the poor!

Guys and girls, do you know that NO real audiophile will now buy the Mark products. The soul has gone :(

The best I have heard nice piece work of art.Just got back from the dealer great with B&W 804 Nautlis.Try selling me on a pair 1.3 SE Dyanal Audio . NO DICE B&W 804 Nautlis more 3D fuller more tunefull bass and more efficient even though the numbers don;t say so.BIG BUCKS if you can get one used for 3or4ish buy it I;m going too ] easy to use if I can figure it out any body can.GOODLUCK

Fantastic coerence, soundstage, ergonomics, it's a Mark Levinson.

Only 100W not a weakness, only for large rooms

For me and after several mounths of auditions this integrated amp beat all the others, it doesen´t sound like tubes, either like solid state, this is a unique amp that let's the music flow like it was ment to sound.
Good dinamic's, bass and fantastic control, just listen to one that has 300 hours of burn in and then, you will fall in love by this product.

Put a good CD/SACD and you will be completly envolved in the fantastic soundstage that it cam produce, it's authentic 3D.

This is the best integrated I've heard and reaches the finest quality atteinable from an integrated.

Used with B&W 802 speakers and Wadia 830 CD.

There is more spatiality and color separation than the Krell. The MK has superior components from front to back panels. However, the preciseness of the sound felt "technical" and lacked a certain spirit and roundness for my taste. Better for classical than rock music. It's a fine machine in high demand. I wished it were a 200 amp instead of 100 but then the $ would have been that much higher.

Great Soundstage, ritmic, etc...

100W, only a weakness if you have big rooms

I bought this amplifier and I think is one of the best in the world, and I have listen a few High End integrated Amplifiers, it requires many hours to give it´s best preformance, which is ritmicaly correct with a fantastic soundstage, the bass control is suberb giving us bass so deep and controled that seems to come from heaven, it recovers all the musical details that your cd's and vinil can capture, but needs to be in good company.

Só I can not understand 1 star rating that some people can give to the mark levinson 383, are they deff??? maybe!...

Só just make shure whem you put this amp on your list to an upgrade, that you are listning to one that as at least 350 hours of burn time, because if not, you will only hear a medium high end amp, not the sound that Mark Levinson can offer you.

There's really nothing much I can add, so if you want to spend the money and you are looking for the best integrated amp ever made (listen and you'll hear),this is it!
