This is a solidly built class 'A' integrated,designed and manufactured in Norway and it is Electro's budjet jobbie.The amp is rated at 50 watts into 8 ohms but is capable of driving 2 ohm loads at a push(the booklet suggests 150 watts into this load and a source impedance of 0.01 ohm if i remember rightly.) The impressions I have formed of this amp over the last six months of listening
are thus; A warm,detailed,highly dynamic amp that sounds powerful beyond it's rating.In comparison to others such as the Linn Majik & Audio Analogue Puccini SE, it sounded slightly less bright through the mid,giving vocals more weight.
This i would attribute to the class 'A' biasing of the amp,and I prefer to think of it as a lack of glare in the sound, rather than a fault in itself.
At the frequency extremes it aquits itself admirably,with a deep solid bass and no-nonsense treble.If I had any gripes,then i would have to say that the amp is
rhythmically not in the Naim league and is maybe a little slow-not the best choice if you like your music ecstasy-driven! however,just listen to the way it carries a melody, the command and composure it shows when being driven hard and the size and depth of soundstaging (once it's been warmed up an hour or two).

(by the way,I use mine with a Rega Planet CD and a variation on a Hi-fi World
speaker design using carbon fibre 8in drivers and 1in soft dome tweeters,all by audax.I reckon I'll get ten years out of this system,so there's a recommendation for yer!
