Brought this second hand in 2003 for 200 pound UK. It currently drives a pair of Celestion A1's and source is normally a Cyrus DVD8 used as a CD player. DVD8 sounds amazing with CD's - better than my Sony CDP-XB920 which is no slouch itself.
This AMP gives great bang for the buck - running the 4ohm celestions it goes loud enough to shake the room, without distorting. Handles sudden changes of pace or loudness very well. Not being an audiophile but an enthuasist I am really happy with this setup - even 6 years later. Sound is very natural, amp seems to not add anything extra to the music but just amplifies it to whatever level you want. I listen to all types of music and it handles it all well, orchestral and female vocalists sound particularly good, but then so does heavier rock as well.
I'm sure there are better amps out there, but they cost a lot more than I paid for this. This sits next to a good Surround 5.1 system in my Home theatre room, but I hardly use the Surround amp and speakers as the DVD8.Cyrus7 combo does such an awesome job of movies by its self.
I currently have no plans to upgrade this setup as it sounds so good, have had no reliability issues ever. It does like an hour warmup before you give it a good workout though.
