This is one the best i've tried! i'm quite sorry of having bought a Densen Beat-100 instead... Although the Densen has awesome detail (hear for exmaple Cassandra Wilson three dubbed voices on Blue light till dawn) that not even the B-60 can match; the sweet, full, mellow sound (oh, on chamber music the Bryston is unbeatable!), the deep bass, etc. makes this amp a bargain. The only better thing i've heard is the pass aleph 3. Don't miss this one. |

I saw all the reviews on the B60 and thought that I should add my 2 cents. I have had my B60 for some time now and really enjoy it. I am using it in a second system but have often wondered why I spent more on my main system pre/power when the Bryston does such a marvelous job. |

Slick, trick, and just 2" high. I wish someone would make a matching CD transport/player. With the long winters we have here I get more than my share of time listening to music. This is one of the most "listenable" pieces of audio equipment that I have owned. Very faithful to the recording and source components in addition to allowing me hear subtle and not so subtle differences between cabling. Highly recommended and I don't need Sam Tellig to tell me so. |

Amazing! This thing is awesome. I am making the move up the audio chain having been a low-fi owner for years. I am running this with a Cal CL-10 cd changer, HK Reciever (for the tuner), and Infinity Composition 1's. Even the bass on my powered infinitys sounds better not to mention the mids and highs. |

If you are putting together a quality budget system make sure that you audition this one. Although it probably won't make the best choice for large rooms and inefficient speakers, it will knock your socks off with its sound. How they pack all of it into such a tidy package is beyond me. Very impressive! |

One of the more endearing qualities of this product is its ability to just pass information through without adding anything. My experience has been that if I hear something undesireable, I have always been able to locate the source of the problem and correct it. Brightness, metallic sounds, muddy bass or mids, or anything else has been attributed to the recording, speakers, or source component. And sometimes for whatever reason (impedance mismatchings most likely), things just aren't right. I go through a lot of audio/video equipment each year - the B60 is the first piece that I will have for a very long time. |

Since I'm on a roll, here are my thoughts on my Bryston B60. YES!!!! I purchased this piece in May of '97 and I was just amazed at it's sound and how the hell they could fit a dual mono integrated amplifier into such a tiny package. I realize this amp might not be for everyone due to power limitations (60watts into 8 ohms/100 into 4 ohms) However for those who don't have a sound proofed room this little wonder can be just the ticket. Believe me, it can drive your speakers to high volume, especially if they are of medium to high sensitivity. My Legacy Classics have a 92 rating and go plenty high if needed. This amp is versatile too with pre outs for connecting with another amp for biamping as I do with the 2B-LP or for use as preamp only or to accomodate the integration of a surround sound processor into your system and still maintain the control functions abailable on the B60. It has 4 pair of RCA input connectors. In closing this is a great little amp. It seems to especially excell in the all important mids. For my taste, it provides me with much enjoyment over the full range of the audio spectrum. Not cheap at 1,800 with remote, but hey, try the sans remote version for 1,500. You'll get more excercise that way! |

I have been living with the B60 for a little over a year in my Den system consisting of the B60, Sony XA7ES, and Hales Model 2 speakers. I am using Mid priced Cardas cables. |

I'm glad to see from the other reviews of the B60 that we all agree,it is an amazing piece not only for the money but overall, perfect for school or small apartments with a pair of B+W's,Tannoy,Vandersteen 1c's.Plus latter split the pre/power connection go for a larger Bryston for front channel, on surround and use the B60 for rear amplification.Class A music on a budget!Go check it out. |

Very impressive sound at a (relatively) bargain price. I have a pair of Paradigm Ref. Studio 60's which are extremely bright, and with the wrong amplifier or a bright front end, can sound like crap. I was considering getting an integrated tube amp, such as the Jolida 502b, to tame the tweeters, but am glad I got the B60. I am impressed at its ability to smooth out the highs on my speakers, without any loss of detail. It is particularly good at resolving complex orchestral arrangements, allowing you to pick out individual instruments without seeming overly dry or analytical. The midrange is warm (sometimes downright lush) and the bass is what you would expect from a Bryston. Check out Audiovideotech (avtech@netrevolution.com), a Canadian dealer, for a good deal on these amps. I think they can sell them new at a discount because the Canadian dollar's so bad. The rest of my system is: Cambridge Audio C-4se CD player, old JVC turntable with a Grace 747 arm, Nordost flatline gold interconnects, and Kimber 8TC biwired cables. |
