Binding posts could be better.

I purchased a used RB993 to upgrade the amplification for my front and center channels using my NAD T770 as a processor. This has produced a gratifying improvement in the bass and the soundstage in my hometheater. Contrary to some reviewers, I hve found my RB993 produces less heat than my NAD T770 did when driving all channels. My NAD T770 amplifiers now only power the rear channels and run noticebly cooler.

The RB993 has been discontinued, but for those considering a 3-channel amp it deserves consideration if you can find one. The newer models are THX certified, but older models like mine predate the certification.
