This is a sleeper of an amp. An amplifier the size of a medium sized book, significant heft due to the toroidal transformer with a fairly simple A/B circuit topology.

This amplifier is tiny, relative to its heft and output, but what amazed me about this amplifier compared to the ones I owned ( old Carver TFM 35x, Sony ES, Rotel) is its absence of high frequency grit. It errs on the side of warm. This little thing had no problems driving my modified Magnepan MMG's to decent levels. I listen primarily to Jazz, Acoustic instruments and Pop. The imaging abilities of this amplifier, to my surprise, was much better than any of my other amplifiers. It is capable of delivering sufficient current to my 86db sensitivity Maggies. I have also had them drive a modified pair of NHT SB2 and SB3 (upgraded caps)

To get the most out of these amps, use a 12-10 gauge power chord, it makes a significant difference and really "opens up" with larger gauge power cables. Also, get some deoxit and spray the left and right gain controls in the back. If you are electronically inclined, adjusting the bias current to 3mV makes an improvement.

These amps are joy to modify, swapping out the Jamicon capacitors for Nichicons and Elna Silmic II takes it a while new level.

These are going anywhere AROUND $80-150 ON eBay, I liked them so much, I have 4 of these wonderful amplifiers. At the mentioned price, these amps can kick any Class T/D amplifier.
