i have one of these amps, im pretty happy with it. i lister for at least an hour a day anf give the amp a good workout. the filter caps blew up like they did on most thus the recall that came out about 4 months after my caps roasted. typically if you bought a second hand one it would have had the caps replaced. the amp does Hiss a bit but its not that bad. i use it as a preamp for 2 rotel RB-1070's as well as the power for a pair of B&W 602 S'3 and it sounds a million bucks. i would recomend buying one at the right price.
I make a habbit of opening up my amps once every couple of years for inspection purposes and to bow out any dust that has collected.
I recently opened it up because it was popping when i turned on speakers "a"
when i opened it up i noticed that one of the larger diodes on the power board had a dry joint and was getting hot so i re soldered. also 2 resistors and a FET on each of the outpot stages had dry joints so i re soldered them. these failures were very evident due to the fact that the print was changing colour due to the heat created by the bad joints. once it was all soldered up i put it back together and no more popping. i would recomend lookng at your amp if you own one of these because its an easy fix that will write off the amp if left unchecked.
i like my C372 and wont ever get rid of it. if you can get one cheapish, buy it you wont regret it. if you cant fiz the sry solder joints yourself take it to a tech it took me about half an hour to find and fix these inherent faults so its worth getting it looked at and fixed.

A very average sounding solid state unit.
Typical is the edgy and brittle sound in the high frequency ranges.
The unit I had suffered from cold solder joints which connected the power supply filtering capacitors... a known problem with those units.
Buyers of this unit should take note

I have experiance many expensive ams, Denon, Onkeyo, Kenwood, Krell, mark lvinson , merantz etc.
This product at my studio is setup with a pair Focal 816V 200 Watt speakers and to tell you the through, for the price you pay is the most Hi Fi system you can purchase, if you are trying to listen to melodical musics and not just heavy metal stuff thts the time to purchase this type of system.
The problem with many people is that they think having a very loud sound is having a good sound which is not true, the diffrentiation of the sound , projection of the sound, and sensetivity of the amp to various frequency outputs is what puts out a crisp and very defined sound.
Now you need to have expensive speakers and make sure you have plenty of ventelation area that surrounds your amp.
Over all product is not only beatiful but, it is highly usefull for people who like to listen to melo music and soft rock material.
