Strength:

What a great amp. Was using two in bridged mode but was overkill for my Ruark speakers. 100w in to 8 ohms was enough. However these also seem to drive my Martin Logan Scenario speakers without difficulty despite the 1.7 ohm load around 20khz in monoblocks mode. Been great with the xp100 pre amp, sounds detailed and open, especially with good cables. Wide soundstage and not at all grainy. The separate psu is a bonus and worth siting well away from the amp on an isolated surface. It's well made and looks high quality. Best amp I have had and competes with more expensive options. The stereo or mono options are useful.

Weakness:

Not much at the price. Bought mine second hand on ebay and despite being over 20 years old sounds great. The psu must not be close to the amp to avoid buzz and should be isolated as can vibrate at 100hz somewhat but not audible if suited well. Sensitive to cable selection.

Strength:

Deep soundstage, liquid treble and punchy bass!

Weakness:

Too cheap to be considered by some audiophiles

This is one heck of an amp. Hook this up with a good preamp and it will do wonders. Try Transparent Audio with it this will bring out the best of this amp.

Strength:

natural detail, excellent imaging, easy bi-amping

A beautiful flexible amp, rated 100w but sounds much more
powerful, 35 amps peak power, compact unique design which I
like very much, silver capsule shape is very eye catching.

Now the sound which departs from the traditional MF sound
which has been on the warm side of nuetral. This amp is capable of very detailed nuetral presentation. Use proper
cables and you will get all the subtle details and deep
wide sound stage. Vocals are very natural with great extension, bass is tight and deep, treble is liquid and
extended. Power supply is remote in its own box which
contributes to clean sound.

Bi-amping couldn't be easier thanks to mono/stereo button
which allows you to operate MF X-AS100 as monoblock amp.
This amp is perfect partner for MF X-P100 preamp which
shares same design and great sound. Price is right also
as Audio Advisor is selling for $995. Recent rating of
MF nu-vista amp as Stereophile Class A amp shows MF is
entering the top ranks of audiophile gear, not just value
for the money. Strongest recommendation for amp at this
price range. My system:

Musical Fidelity X-Ray cd player
0.5m SilverAudio Hyacinth
Musical Fidelity X-P100 preamp
0.5m SilverAudio Hyacinth
Musical Fidelity X-AS100 amp x 2 (bi-amped)
6ft AudioQuest Argent speaker cables
PSB Silver-i speakers

Also: Shunyata Powersnakes AC cords (these are great!)
