Strength:

Sound, appearance, build quality.

Weakness:

None so far.

From my experience with this amp, I cannot explain the negative reviews shown. I have grown tired of "upgradeitis" and purchased this amp, along with an MX-132 Pre/Pro, as my final "keepers". I find nothing to dislike about this amp and appreciate it's strengths as shown above.

Strength:

smooth midrange, acoustic scene

Weakness:

no balanced inputs, no channell bridging

I use this amplifier in an audio-vido system inclusing Snell loudspeakers, but most of the time I listen to steeo music.
I owned two Musical Fidelity's, an Adcom Gfa 555 and a Classé cav 75.
The overall performance of the McIntosh is very good, with a scene deeper and Higher than the 7300 and certainly not worse than the Classé (which is less powerful).
It lacks balanced inputs and the possibility to bridge the channels. The feet are far fron the front panel, which could cause some problem in stable positioning because it is deeper than other mentioned amplifiers.

Strength:

Clean Sound, no distortion

Weakness:

not enough power into 8 Ohms

i don't understand the extreme reviews here. Some people, (me included) think that this amp is great. Other think that is a piece of junk. This makes me think that there is a problem with quality or there are people here just bashing a product. I looked for reviews on this amp for months prior to buying this amp. There were only two at this site. I listened carefully before I bought it. I am very happy with it. The sound is clean, no distortion at all. I have a super audio player, the Sony777ES. I have a about 50 sacd's. I have listen to 1000's of CD's with this amp in all volumes. It just does not make sense to have heaven and hell together. So please, maybe this is one of the situations for the moderator of this site.

And this amp is beatiful to look at. Those blue lights. I am in totoal lust with it.
