I only have this amp because a friend of mine was moving overseas and didn't have time to sell it. I have to admit I'm a little ignorant of audio equipment and before I tried this amp, I was using a Pioneer receiver with some Klipsch speakers that I thought was the cat's ass.

This Glow Amp one sat in its box for almost a year before I decided to hook it up and try it out. When I read the specs and saw it was only 5 amps, I didn't think it would sound good at all. I did some reading and found out that the speakers need to be efficient and it turned out that my Klipsch speakers were pretty efficient!

So, I hooked up the amp and played some music. Holy crap!!!!! I couldn't believe how much better it sounded than my regular Pioneer receiver! I used to get headaches after listening to music for long periods, but for some reason this amp makes the music actually sound like MUSIC!!!

When my wife saw it on the shelf, she said it looked "cute". I was originally just going to test it out to see if it worked and sell it, but after hearing it there's no way I'm going to sell it!!! I had no idea a 5 watt amp could sound so good???

It's also built like a tank.

This amp is a great sounding tube based single ended EL84 5 watts per channel integrated with only one input. really has to be partnered with efficient speakers because of its low power with 88db watt/mtr as minimum, but will work better with speakers up in the 91-99 db range.
nice sweet tube sound with plenty of warmth and bass with a clear musical sound.
this makes a nice change to the bright sound of many transister amps around.
Its getting a bit expensive to buy from america now with very few around secondhand ones being sold.
certainly better value purchased used.
generally a very neat little amp with a lovely warm musical sound easy to listen to with good alround imaging,
depth, insight etc but will as mentioned need good efficient speakers to sound at its best.
