Strength:

Superb sound, musicallity, powerfull and detailed sound, capable for driving all kind of speakers, design

Weakness:

speakers connections

I have been using my Cyrus One amp for 7 years and I am very satisfied with it. I listen every kind of music, but classical (Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, etc) and New edge music (Yanni, Vollenweider) the most. My Cyrus One is ideal for that kind of music.
I have compared my Cyrus One amp with amps other manufacturers, but for me Cyrus One is the best.

Strength:

Energy, drive

Weakness:

lacks subtlety compared to newer rivals

Exceptional performance given price paid. Lacks refinement, but makes mincemeat of most £500 intergrateds when it comes to sheer frills.

Strength:

Well defined sound, simple straightforward no frills pure sound.

Weakness:

Headphone Socket at rear of amplifier.

For quality sound reproduction, without the gizmos and gadgets, then look for a second user Cyrus I or II. There are quite a few for sale as second user and extremely good value for money which just goes to prove you don't have to spend a fortune to bring real quality sound into your home. I have mine running with a Mission DAD7000 CD Player and Mission 770 Speakers and the sound quality is excellent in all respect, there is plenty of mid range, a crisp and visible high end coupled with a detailed and full bass. I'll never understand why Cyrus put the headphone socket at the rear of the unit, but I can live with that ! Undoubtedly the best £40 I ever spent !

Strength:

Powerfull and precise sound, exellent stereo image and sound quality, simple, relatively cheap.

Weakness:

Speaker connectors, RCA connectors, no headphone connector, sound could be a little softer.

An ordinary Bipolar-transistor stereo amplifier that gives 36W@8ohm (one chanel loaded) So it's 2x30W which is enough for most speakers. The best sounding amp i have had so far, very well worth the price.
