great sound,tight bass,crystal clear highs,midtrange is pretty darn good for a solid state amp. great looks but...........

for an audiophile amp there is to many bells and whistles for me not that there unpleaseing but there just there i havent read the manual to find out what the blinking lights are for but im sure there there for a reason ill download and print the manual from crownaudio.com this week.

great amplifier for any application as i use it with my legacy focus speakers,rotel cd player,onkyo tuner,krell pre-amp,and nad turntable with ortofon x5-mc cart!

this amp is really a powerhouse and needs no introduction if you are familiar with it. has everything youde want from an amp like clarity, low end, midrange, and highs are very life like for a solid state amp. and nothing that you wouldnt want like harshness or being bright as they say this one sounds good to me ide compare it to ( and audiphiles this is gonna hurt you but i have a great set of ears) krell, mark levinson and if your sitting there saying this guys not an audiophile because im noyt spending 100,000 for a pair of mono blocks from krell do what i did and drag your lazy butts down to any audio dealer with the crown in hand and plug it into whatever amps they have and you;ll be amazed at the open sount this amp has and it is deadly accurate!!
i brought this amp in to my local hi fi shop and made them unplug there krell full balanced 600 stereo amp and this sucker is huge( the krell is huge) and plugged in my little 60 pound crown powering a pair of b&w nautilus top end speakers with the 15 inch woofer and these speakers came alive with a bottem end like ive never heard before and highs that would make glass shatter!!...so if your into looking for an amp that has plenty of headroom to spare with a sound that is just fantastic without spending 30,000 dollars please give this amp a try and im sure yoy will agree that there is definately a open and very well defined sound!

everything..this amp is incredible at producing unbelievable sound pressure levels...bass is super fast and tons of pow! midrange is efortless..the highs are a littler bright but not bad

highs have a bright presentation but seem to be a little better when playing rock n roll

what a powerhouse this sucker is..really its quite the amp but its hard to use unless you have a 30 amp circuitbreaker which this amp requires and the cord is as big around as a garden hose! but plug this baby in and your off to a killer electrical bill. but its not that bad as the sound this baby produces is very open and beautiful.

i cant say enough for this baby i thought twice about spending 4000 dollars on a crown pro amp. but i went through almost every high end so called audiophile amp out there(almost) from tubes to the hybrids and solid state.
i guarantee your happines with a good preamp like a bryston or a rotel amd some good non bright cables.like audioquest. so bite the bullet and go buy this baby, as im sure you will love this piece...so for the money you cant go wrong with other amps that cost 10 times as much and have only 50 watts or so..crap,... this thing has all the headroom you will need!!! power,sound,reliability,protection circuits!! and great looks!!!!!!!
