Compared to the Hafler, the improvement in bass articulation and midrange clarity was striking. Crisper, cleaner attacks, more space around the instruments and vocals. The Classe' has great detail in the upper treble registers. Female vocals were very clear, free of grain and harshness. A striking improvement over the amps I was using. Haven't auditioned any of the newer SS amps from Adcom, Rotel, etc, so have to reserve judgement on the highest rating. This is certainly an impressive piece.
