This is a truly outstanding 6 channel amp. The construction is bullet proof. It drives my My 2 pairs of B&W Matrix 3's (fronts and rears) and 1 pair Matrix 2's (center's) flawlessly. If you need power, look no further, at 350 wpc @ 8 ohms and 500 wpc @ 4 ohms this amp does it all. Go to the Cinepro home page and read the reviews. (Cinepro.com) If you are looking for that true home theater experience from AC-3 or dts get the 3K6; coupled with a good subwoofer, you may never go to the movies again!!! The company has excellent customer service. I recently had an inquiry and email them, I got clear concise response by the next business day. The 3k6 made me rediscover my system. This is not just an amp.... it is a machine !!

After so long with this product and the many many comparisions to other amplifiers I must say this amp brings back the reason why I love audio .This is a true high resolution amplifier that has that great inner resolution that will amaze you with its finese and yet it has the balls to scare the pants off of you when it needs to .
This is the Ultimate Master-Blaster of all Hi-Fi and Home Theater Amplifiers Barr None !

Is this the ultimate amp ? Maybe not because I have heard the 3k6Se II which is even better but I can not afford $6500 and all the Cinepro dealers seem not to want to discount .But I am not sure if the 3k6 can be beaten by anything this side of its big brother the 3k6Se II .This amp has the finese and yet brute strenght of a horse. The detail is first rate and the midrange is as sweet as a young blonde with blue eyes .I never seem to want to turn it off so what can I say !! Its a 55555555555555

Strength:

Just a awesome product. Solid and Smooth.

Weakness:

Can be just a tad bright. (Could be the speakers)

I have used a Parasound HCA-1206 6 Channel amp for quite a few years now (135 Watts x6) and have been real happy.
I upgraded most of my gear, and thought I need just a bit more power. Looked at the Parasound, but the Cinepro won me over (after a weekend at home. Thanks Michael)
I have my home theater in a dedicated room, and I don't listen to music on this system. The sound is just stunning. I don't know if it's my speakers, but at real loud db's it can sound a tad harsh/bright (but I listen to movies LOUD when alone) But the Parasound never did, the Parasound has less wattage. All I can say is this is the best investment I could of made. I just love it. My system includes:

Lexicon DC-2 THX-EX/DTS/Dolby Digital
Cinepro 3K6 6 Channel Power Amp
Pioneer Elite DV-09 DVD Player
Pioneer Elite Cld-79 Laserdisc Player
Klipsch KLF-20 Speakers 3 Pair
Bagend Infra-18 18" Subwoofer
Velodyne CT-150 x2 15" Subwoofers
Parasound CDC-1500 5 Disc CD Player
All on Monster Cable

Strength:

Power Power Power and then add Gobbs more on that. Build quality in excellent, top notch audiophile parts, dynamic headroom

Weakness:

NONE!

I have to admit that I have read all the reviews on this Amp and was skeptical as to the improvment I would get. I have to say that I know own the best sounding system on the planet. The Richness of the bass(tight warm not muddled)the mid range is throwing sonics and sublities at me on discs that I have listened to for years and never knew those notes or effects were there!!!! I really can't explain the difference well. It is like I get it now. Meaning all those reviews you always read about High-end equipment and the sound-stage opening up and the relaxed sound that is not forced and the ease in which a system will reproduce your software and accurately. The way this amp presents with absolute balls and finese' will amaze you as well. I have been a avid audiophile for years and now also very big into Hometheater for the past 5 years or so. So the system I have needed to not only be ballsy for the second bursts and effects in movies soundtracks but also give me what I need in two channel as well. It has surpassed my wildest dreams and has renewed my on again off again love of this hobby. I can't wait to go home and play!!!!!!
My system:
Cinepro 3k6II
B&k Ref 20
Cal Audio Icon Mark II
Toshiba SD-2200
Hughes Bird 4 DBS
Sony KV35V35
Velodyne F-1200
Energy C-6 Fronts
Energy E-200 Front
Energy RVSS rears
Kimber Hero On all interconnects

Strength:

Very powerful/Clean sound/great imaging.

Weakness:

None

Let me just start by saying that I have always been in the all in one box camp. I bought the Cinepro 3K6II to add to the Home Theater.I am using a Denon AVR-5700 for a processor which many consider to be the best in class last year for receivers.

I thought that there wouldn't be that much of a difference between the current 140WPC but, was I wrong!!!!! The dynamic impact on movies is now just incredible. I also feel that for 2-ch stereo it has brought out a lot of detail that I was missing. I can't compare it to any other any seperate amplifier's but, as far as the top of the line amp section in the Denon AVR-5700 goes. There is really is no comparision and, it wouldn't be fair to compare a receiver to a seperate amp with this much power. I feel that this is one of the best buy's that I have made for HT/Music to date.My next purchase will probably be a Cinepro 1k2II for the upcoming EX format.
