The first word on the "Description" says Breathtaking. I couldn't agree more.

I have had good Yamaha AV Amps for years and have always liked the fact that if you flick it to Pure Direct or even Two Channel it has always sounded good to me using a good CD player. Well I thought so.

I started looking to build on my 2 channel side of things because I found i was watching less DVD's and getting back into Music. I rang around and asked about 200W Power Amps. Two stuck out Plinius and Cambridge Audio. Two very knowledgeable Hi Fi Shop owners recommended to go with the Cambridge Audio 840W because it was better value for money and had heaps of grunt.

I purchased and have never looked back. My Opus 1's have more bass pumping thru them and quick firing sound brings out the best in my very wide range of music taste. The clarity in accoustic guitar work from Nils Lofgren rips apart the thousands of dollars set up of the Quad amp / speakers I recently heard.

Since owning the 840W I have heard many differrent amps playing thru many differrent speakers but they don't match the 840W for value for money.

I highly recommend you try out the Power Amp you will not be unhappy. It will bring new life to your speakers and you will hear new sounds from differrent instruments that you have never heard before.

I will one day add the 840E Pre Amp to my set up because the reviews on this combination are 5 star and I want to finally go balanced which I belive is the perfect system.
