Strength:

Excellent sound reproduction, quality design and construction, price.

Weakness:

Nothing observed yet

I'll spare you the typical "audiophile" terms. This amp delivers accurate and balanced sound across the board. The base is deep and powerful without compromising the mids or highs. The ATI is built like a tank and runs cool even when pushed. The amp will cleanly drive virtually any speaker made. The ATI is designed and built in the USA at a price that is almost unbelievable.

Strength:

clean, tight bass, transparent

Weakness:

Signal light flashes with music indicating strenght - distracting; Banana plugs are little loose in the binding posts.

This is my first experience with separates. This amp is a great jump from the yamaha recievers.

Connected with Yamaha pre-outs:

The bass is much tighter than the yamaha amp. Much cleaner. HT has much better sound separation probably due to less load on the yamaha amp - the sounds are much more impactful from each speaker!

Direct connected with Sony 20ES using variable output:

The music is transparent and imaging is great. The bass is really tight, not very lose or muddled. Highs are much more defined and detailed. The music sounds more "real".

Running Polk Audio LS90 (which are known to have loose bass).

I have heard better sounding setups at audio stores for much more. This piece is a great entry into true audiophile components.

Similar Products Used:

yamaha 795, Sony ES reciever 100W (don't remember model) supposed to be class A at low volumes
