i'm currently using it to power extra speakers for my small music studio. it's doing a great job. hey did i mention that i bought it from a crack-head for $15. bucks. is there any guilt..... no. you'd probably buy it to.

I bought this amp from a University of Michigan student for $25.00 thinking that the amp was in bad ship, not knowing that the fuses were blown. Cosmetics were ok and the only thing I did was to replace the fuses. Viola! It runs my Cerwin vegas well and for the past 3 years I've had no trouble with it. With thisn mind I recently bought the 5500.

Strength:

Powerful, precies bass. Neutral. Good definition, details.
High quality parts.

Weakness:

Fuses inside, not easily accessible. A little bit agressive in the high frequencies. Posts too small. Only one pair of speakers, no headphone outlet.

See strengths and weaknesses. Excellent ratio quality / price. Now, I am using it in a bi-amp system for the low freq., and an Adom GFA-535-II for the high freq. Wonderful combination !
