Sorry I'm adding to the junk on this page but if you are going to review this piece and say it sux PLEASE explain. You do readers no good, but make yourselves look like 2 year olds by saying this product sux and yaba yaba bull. Just explain and better educate the buyer before they make a mistake. Tell us if it does not image or doesn't handle the low or high ends or what ever makes the piece sound so awful. If you can remember what speakers, cables, etc you listened to it with, it would also be appreciated. Just a though for these great pages with childish users running rabid.
For an integrated amp this piece can drive a great home theater and music is no problem. I have DF BP2004's (Front) DF CB1 (Center) DF BP20's (Rear). Standard 12 gauge runs to speakers and Transparent coax between DVD and standard RCA’s elsewhere.

Hey Alero and Buzz, you two need to be in one room and that room is in my home cinema ,ALRIGHT. Because of your audio impotency, both of your system will be dominated by mine. You ,Alero, the most st-pid person, instead of rx-v2095 get the ultimate DSP-A1. And you Buzz, youre just a 5600 loyalist trying-hard to promote it because you don't any bread to upgrade your IT to Yamaha DSP-A1. One thing more, I know how to calibrate you two don't know.See ya!

Gentlemen and Ladies:
What is wrong with this forum having some discussion? GDS mentions that he has a problem with that. Well, I could not disagree more. Not only should this place be a haven for A/V opinions, likes and dislikes, but it should also entertain discussion. The discussion points should be about the products in here for review.

GDS, after reading the exchanges between you and Teddy, you are clearly the biggest offender of "your rules"! Teddy simply told us his opinion - he says Yamaha sucks. You, in turn, more or less said that Teddy sucks. Where is the review of Yamaha? I think you like to tell others "do as I say, but not as do, where clearly you say discussion should not be here and YOUR rules for commentary are the LAWS. And if someone disagrees with you, please banish them and their opinions - usually if not always characterized by you - as wrong or stupid. In fact, you go so far as to begin tearing at one's intelligence and significance as a human being.

Instead of stating some of the things you do, I think you should take a long look in the mirror.

As far as Yamaha goes, I agree it is one of the top receiver makers. But, I have to give the nod to the Denon AVR 5600. GDS, my opinion is not because of any of the extraneous data you cite, but instead, and more importantly it is based on my own objective listening. It sounds better to me. Does this make me a stupid fool too, GDS?

Teddy,If you really hate your YAMAHA 2095, can I buy it. Actually a friend of mine wants to buy yours too. Let me know the price here. The price looks OK, then I will call you.
Frankly, 3 of my friends went to Goodguys and auditioned both Yamaha and Denon. We all agreed Yamaha is better than Denon. I'd like to buy Yamaha 2095.

Teddy S. or Teddy or whatever the hell your name is, you need to take a hard and long look into the mirror. What do you see? Are you so insecure that you need to bash something for no apparent reason.
About a month age, there was some guy in here who was not unlike you. He insisted that Denon 5600 "sucks" and he "hates" it. I was amazed at the anger and the language he was using. I asked, "why do you feel so hostile? How in the world do you find it within yourself to actually HATE an inanimate object of such relative insignificance to everyday life?" Also, how can it "suck". Come on, the product is manufactured by a worldwide company that has been making it for years and continues to make a profit. Even if the Denon AVR is not a good as ALL others on the market - I happen to really believe it is the best, better than the Yamaha DSP1 or whatever their top of the line is called - how can it be so BAD that it sucks. Does it sound like a sink clogging up when you try to play a CD? That would suck. Does it make the sound of flatulence after a meal of baked beans? That would suck too.

Teddy, wake up. Not only are your shallow insights ridiculous, you have made statements that are completely unreasonable. They are really "out there" and cannot be taken seriously. You offer not actual REVIEW of the Yamaha whatsoever and you do not tell us why whatever it is you claim that "rocks" is so much better.

To all those who have responded with anger to Teddy, just accept the fact that he is truly an insecure child on the inside. I suspect he is in his 20 s or 30s
because he is able to afford this receiver. If you continue to react to him, he will undoubtedly keep sending crazy reviews about whatever product he feels like. I'll even bet that the products he reviews are not even products that he has in fact reviewed. He is just sending in emails to get something stirred up! If you ignore this little minded boy, he will wast away and vanish from our midsts forever .... WE HOPE!

Sorry, no product review; just a question. I recently put the RX-V2092 on layaway for $900; I can purchase the RX-V2095 for $1299. Are the differences between the two receivers (DTS and additional DPS modes) worth $400? Is DTS going to be a major player or did it miss its window of opportunity and therefore I'd be wasting $400 purchasing the 2095?

Ok people, let me just tell you that this receiver is the bomb !!! I picked one up for evaluation and it is awesome !!!
It is basically an updated version of the RXV 2092. It also has a smoother and more refined sounding DSP processor and Dolby Digital performance.
It has DTS and 6 channel inputs and more control over the DSP modes with adjustments such as room size and effect trim.
It is an absolute steal at $1249 shipped to your door with a 2 year warranty !!!
IT just goes to show you that as each year passes, electronics continually become a better value/dollar for the
consumer.
What the heck will Yamaha think of next?
