Strength:

Clean sound. Powerful enough with PSB Stratus speakers used as monitors. I never use EQ. Tone controls stay flat and everything usually sounds good.

Weakness:

None

Used in my dedicated musician room. This is a music performance and recording room. This Pioneer is used as a 3.channel ( F, R, Center) amp. It performs faultlessly.

Customer Service

None. Costco always backs up customer satisfaction. If you don't like it, they refund the money - No questions asked.

Yamaha receiver - Not as good.
Sony ES reciever - Not as good.

This Pioneer model is long out of production. But it's a decent 5.1 receiver. NO HDMI, but if you can live with TOSLINK optical or composite component outputs to your monitor, you will get decent audio / visual on the cheap with this receiver.
